Agree. Dune is not as flashy as Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc....but it's a great story and major influence on George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry.

I've never read Dune or saw the original but it's always sounded intriguing. Will have to check out the movie maybe.
