Well... if Mason stumbles along the way, expect that to change.

Ben's replacement is likely a Freshman in college. I think he'll retire after this season, then we'll have a couple seasons of misery while Tomlin is allowed to run Haskins out there until it's absolutely impossible for it to continue

I PRAY that it's only a couple seasons of misery. Could be a decade of misery before you blink.

This guy is from the Pittsburgh area I think, he would look good in the black and gold.

I have not heard Kenny Pickett’s name mentioned once. Is he just not an NFL prospect? When I see him play, he seems to have the gifts, though he can be inconsistent. The Steelers have to know a great deal about him, Pitt shares the Steelers’ practice facility.

Phil Jurkovec, Malik Willis and Desmond Ridder all looked great in Week 1. Time to see what they look like heading forward. Still like either Ridder or Jurkovec though.

I think Pickett is a third or fourth round pick. Career backup type player. He's more of a game manager type QB.

    Hey man!!!

I know Matt Canada could likely dial some unique plays with that ability for certain! I would be all for it. My only major reason though I would like Ridder is that he has logged in more snaps as a starter. That said, the whole "Senior QB" aspect has not panned out regarding Rudolph but perhaps it could with Ridder.

In addition, Ridder is a small school QB Prospect. Pittsburgh has had good success with the small school QBs. Willis is a small school one as well though so that also has to be taken into account for.

That’s a really great play. I haven’t seen a single game of his yet, so I’m going to withhold excitement until I see how well he plays over the course of several game tapes, but that was a pretty great throw for sure.

I liked Ridder last year, but I thought that he wasn’t quite ready to make the jump. Glad he stayed for another season.

    Ugh....

This just makes the likes of Ridder or Willis the frontrunners now.

    Desmond Ridder!! Indeed!!

Hopefully he can continue to ascend. Started off rough though against Indiana but persevered and prevailed in the end. A true dual threat in every sense of the word; tailor made for Canada's Offense. Would not mind Kevin Colbert giving the University of Cincinnati a visit. :)
