    If you look at Davis's numbers before he was moved to FS, he was a better Strong Safety than Edwards.

    After drafting Edwards the Steelers were forced to move him to Free Safety because Edwards is a disaster in coverage.

    You mean Edmunds, right?

    Davis is fine as a backup safety, so I wouldn't mind seeing him return in that capacity.

    I was going to mention him this AM, but the guy hasn’t played in the regular season since 2019 and has been cut by the teams that signed him before the 2020 and 2021 seasons. If that happens once, I can get on board with taking a flyer. Twice (2 preseasons in a row), and I’m not feeling good about the player. Admittedly, I have not watched his preseason play this year though.

    Correct Edmunds,

    You have to wonder if we did not draft Edmunds in 2018 and left Davis at SS how he would have developed.

    Given the Steelers track record and bad habits learned from teammates I'd say his curve is flattened to downward sloping.
