Not all doom and gloom and not all about how I feel, was simply making a case for why he may not sign... If it's money I think we get him signed if it's championships then no way will he sign...

Or you can be Brett Favre, lose your Dad the day before and go out and play and throw for 300 yards and 4 TD's.

Everyone is different with coping that is for sure.

But, in today's world I will not judge mental health, if he needs time he needs time.

The Watt contract should get done, they still have time. If not he plays under the 5th year option. They could tag him next season if needed. I personally feel he is worth being the highest paid defensive player.

Tuitt hopefully if injured or is still dealing with his Brothers passing comes back sooner then later. No one knows. If he has to miss time I feel having him healthy is the key. He has an extensive injury history and rushing him back could be devastating possibly losing him for the season.

Fake news. He’s under contract for the year. You don’t tag a guy who has a contract.

They tagged Dupree and Bell. They will most certainly tag TJ next year if they don’t get a contract worked out.

I thought it was only for 4 years, with a 5th year " option " ...Which they could decline ( but obviously would in this case )

They exercised the 5th year option on April 28.

Tuitt is almost certainly out for week 1 but at what point does the same happen for TJ. Season starting out beautifully

no watt (but he is 'here' - he will play....) or tuitt and NO Left Tackle! brace yourself... my hunch w Tuitt is soft tissue , which sucks. he has had a choppy career - not playing enough unfortunately.

They already accepted his 5th year option...I wasn't aware of that ( not that, that would be unexpected )

I don't think he's chasing a ring myself but something could have him wanting out like you say.

Where is he going to go that will give him a better shot at a ring? What contender is going to make a huge trade for him and then pay him a market leading contract?

I don’t see it, TJ is not stupid and knows he is in a nice situation in Pittsburgh with Cam & Tuitt beside him and even young Alex Highsmith is showing real promise now. They are going to continue to be a strong unit, giving him lots of opportunities for pressures and sacks. He is on a HOF trajectory and would be wise to stay where he is, at least for now.

I’m not sure what the delay is, I am assuming it’s over the finer details, guarantees etc. At his age it’ll probably be his only chance for a monster payday, he wants to get it right for him and his family.

Trust me, I want him out there right now as well.

    1) that means he is healthy, mentally and physically
    2) that means our defense is far better

I have seen them talking of him going to ir. Just reworked his contract and we owe this cat a ton of money and cap room down the road. Terrible news of true. I believe he's been out as much as he's played over his years.

That’s tough for the Steelers. They’ll probably have to adjust the game plan a little, spend more time in Nickel with Cam and Tyson as the DT’s in four man fronts unless they feel that Wormley and Loudermilk can make meaningful contributions early.

That hurts! I always try to remember other teams have their share of problems too.

Don't forget to get your prediction in for the Steeler Prediction Poll.
