I don't think Banner will be playing again in this league. I don't think his knees are able to handle it. Maybe if he drops 50 lbs or something he'd have a better chance

He was 340 last season. 335 would be a loss of 5 pounds. I think he needs to be like 310 at most

You're citing his college weight, which was a monstrous 380-390, but he lost 40-50 lbs before the draft.

He was drafted at 353 (combine). Regardless, that was 4 years ago. He did not lost 25 pounds from last season.

310 is pretty light for a guy 6-8. i watched a kid last week at our local HS. he was a starter as a freshman at 6-7 360 playing guard. he even played basketball for 3 years now. he is a senior now and has grown another inch and dropped to 320 while adding muscle. he's on his way to iowa state after this year. he can move too. looks quite agile.

310 is good for a 6'8" guy with a nagging knee issue

Glad to see Moore is starting at LT.

Keep him there for the rest of the season and let Chuks and Banner battle it out for RT.

I hope an inexperienced Dan Moore is better at LT that Chuks. I'd much rather see Chuks on the right side.

With Banner on the IR do the Steelers look outside for another tackle.

Tyrell Crosby was just released by Detroit. Plays both sides of the line at tackle.

I would rather see Chuks on nobodys side. Unless its the side of the bench. He was not good as a RT last year. I cant imagine things being much different now.

Yes! We need a legitimate RT. Like right now. There has to be someone out there better than Chuks.

    Hmm....

Seems like Adrian Klemm foretelling of Dan Moore being starter capable was not just mere praise after all. I also liked Moore coming out but not as much as the other top Tackles. That said, given how the likes of Sewell has struggled (mightily though he is a natural Left Tackle), Christian Darrisaw has had another groin surgery and .... whatever the heck is with Alex Leatherwood, Moore has actually performed much better than I thought.

All this said, I do hope he will be ready. Preseason is a lot different than regular season for certain. Having both Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison does not seem too daunting but both are experienced; something that Moore only has so much of! I do believe he will perform well but how well remains to be seen.

This is a huge and frankly premature test for Dan Moore. He has showed well so far but they would not have planned for him starting week one or even year one for that matter. I am absolutely rooting for the guy but I wish they could ease him in.

Chuks will be middling to below average at RT presumably, as he was last season

Both. Chuks because he was below average last year and Moore because he's a rook and it's too soon.
