JK Dobbins goes down for the season. They have backs but could snell or samuels or McFarland or anyone else be traded to them? Should we keep an extra back so they don't just poach our cut? At least try to get something.

In your own division? Trade Mcfarland then, he don't have it.
While we are at it how about Ebron and Derek Watt. These two are also expendable.
We will need all of the draft picks we can muster to get in the QB sweepstakes next year..

Lol, Gus Edwards is better than anyone we have outside of Najee, they're not that desperate.

Nice thought. The Ravens also have Justice Hill. The combo of Gus and Hill is probably going to be okay for them. There are a lot better backs to be traded for around the league than anyone the Steelers could offer.

Rbs all over the league about to be cut.

I dont see anyone on our back up roster that's a drastically better player than those about to be cut.

Yep, the Ravens, like the Jags and Rams, didn't put all of their RB eggs in one basket like the Steelers did. I hope some of those running backs are available if Najee's wheels fall off at some point.

all their eggs in one basket? snell was a 4th rd. pick and so was mcfarland. then picked up ballage a former 4th round pick. edwards was undrafted. hill was a 4th rounder. you act like all these other teams have first round talent at every position and the steelers are just idiots. snell had back to back 1,000 yard seasons at kentucky when we drafted him. hill or edwards haven't had to be the main RB for the team for a season. i don't think the ravens are feeling all that comfortable about this situation.

Agree Gus Edwards is really good, and could be a starter for a few NFL teams.

You're comparing pedigree with actual production. McFarland and Snell suck. Ballage looks like he can be a one-dimensional bull, but if Najee goes down there is nobody to do what they are asking him to do. They desperately need to find another DeAngelo Williams.

Gus is a liability when the Ravens don't have him run the ball, they're hurting.

He has a ridiculous 5.1 ypc or something like that in a shared backfield but if he was all that, he’d be the feature back. Bet he doesn’t do nearly as well in the lead roll.

they will all go as the line goes. including najee. speaking of pedigree, harris has exactly 0 yards in the nfl. ballage has 52 receptions and edwards has 18. gus is more 1 demensional then ballage. snell has 13 receptions in 2 years and edwards has 18 in 3 years. closer then you think as far as what they can do. sure it's easy to just say they suck but.....

I'll get hate for this. But I'm still a fan to bring back L. Bell.

He's not very good in pass protection, I don't know if he has catching skills or not.

Continued regression in Baltimore says the constellations. No more Ozzie, Lamar racking up mileage, roadblocker Yanda gone. ;)

I think the odd man out will be Samuels and I could see him as a bit more valuable than a lot of other Teams cuts..Plus if you need depth do you wait your turn or give up a late round pick to insure you get the guy you want ? I think it is a good ideal to at least shop him for a pick and play some poker by telling Teams we are keeping them all even if we do intend to cut him..

You never know it only takes 1 Team to value him more than their late round pick if you can get 2 or 3 you might even get a 5th. IMO..

There are guys like Gurley, McCoy, Bell… on the free market. Why would the Rats give up a pick for Snell, McFarland, Samuel or Ballage? Heck, even grandpas such Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore are better rentals than what we can offer

We could always finish with a terrible record and get a real high draft pick which would be a really depressing season or Ben could have a great season and say he's playing another and we will forget all about that QB for another year.

He was nothing special after his head games but I wouldn't complain if he was around for us if that dreaded injury bug bites us hard.

Never underestimate GM’s. Would anyone here ever have thought Dobbs would have fetched a 5th?
