Williamson has been attending camp and he said it on air yesterday, albeit that is the first time I heard it. Most reporters have not really addressed his absence at all up to now. Williamson does a lot of work for the team via the Steelers website and SNR and would be foolish to jeopardise that gig by making stuff up.

It’s hardly a stretch to imagine that a big man like Stefan Tuitt might put on a few lbs after a personal tragedy where working out was almost certainly not his priority.

I really don't recall saying it was my decision to make.

I am glad you are okay with these guys not practicing. Year after year the clown show continues. These are just more examples of guys on the team doing whatever the hell they want. I used to consider Tomlin a leader of men. Fact of the matter is the guy has no balls.

You have no idea how expendable any of the members of this board are at their place of employment.

Please explain to me how Tuitt's loss is soo much more important than the board member that lost a grandchild to SIDS.

This response was so dumb that you should consider deleting it.

I only bring Ben into Ben related posts. And I try to do it accurately and relevant. That is what a message board is. You bring Tomlin into almost every post, no matter how unrelated. And you just make stuff up to fit your narrative. You get busted for it from half the regular posters.

    Timex

And I do have 5 lifelong friends. I am very lucky in that regard. I hope you can say the same.

We don't know they are fine with it. 2 be honest we don't know really anything they don't want us 2 know.
All I'm saying is It is a terrible tragedy the Loss of a Love One ...No Matter how , or when it happens. Yet it happens, and after a bereavement Time, or period We have had all 2 go back 2 life. Not saying I want this, but saying it is a sad fact of life.

So this is sounding like Tuitt will certainly not be ready for the season opener. At least the Dline is supposedly loaded with depth.

I was at training camp on 8/8 and I honestly do not remember seeing him on the field. Having said that and having been through a sudden loss, let's just hope he is able to get the help he needs to get though it.

I'm sure the team told Tuitt to take as much time as he needs, because a player is grieving and not practicing doesn't mean he's doing what the hell he wants, such a dumb take .

Joe Schmoe making $50,000 a year is easier to replace than a top athlete that the team has invested millions in, that's my point.

I thought (reading between the lines of Keith Butler's comments) that Tuitt also had an injury... is that not accurate?? So little has been given to the public about Tuitt's situation that speculation is pretty wide. If its personal then so be it, there are bigger things than football. Maybe that's why the hush. I'd rather have a fully attentive Tuitt than one that is distracted and more prone to injury.

    SMH

I would be willing to bet that there are more than a few of us here that make more of a contribution to society than what you infer. Nice job doubling down.

If the Steelers lose Tuitt they are not going to lose money, let alone go under. There are thousands of small businesses, however, that would if their star employee was hit by a bus.

6 appears to be equating salary with value.

"I think it's ridiculous for fans to try to compare what happened in their personal lives to athletes"

"You're more expendable to your employer than a talented athlete like Tuitt."

"Joe Schmoe making $50,000 a year is easier to replace than a top athlete"

These are your words. Heaven forbid people in this thread should equate their own personal losses to that of the "Top Athlete". I guess if you aint pulling $50k a year or more your loss doesn't matter. Those people go back to work in 3 days.

Your posts in this thread have gone beyond clueless. Insensitive and insulting is more like it.

Tuitt's mind is numb. I understand. Might take a bit of time till he is mentally ready let alone physically to blow up some running backs and blast some QB's

According to Dulac, Tuitt is dealing with an ‘undisclosed’ injury that ‘could continue to bother him for a while.’

Not sure what that means, but it doesn’t sound great.

Exactly, I started a small business with a couple of key employees. If any one of them left, I would have been bankrupt and a dozen others would have been unemployed. As my company grew, the dependence on those two declined progressively. Eventually people came and went and we kept going.

This has always been a plague of Tuitt. Great player when healthy. Often he is not healthy.

He is paid a lot takes up a lot of cap room. But, if your investing that much in a guy and he's only available 50% of the time, it's not a wise investment.

Bad part is nothing behind Cam, or Tuitt, Carlos Davis showing a bit of promise for the D-Line

Steelers need to have a bang up draft for D-linemen the next few drafts. Cam getting old, Tyson A is old. and Tuitt is hardly ever healthy.
