I remember a MNF win where Mike Wallace had a kick ass game. After the game he was with Deion Sanders in an interview and Sanders said to him something like, you got that young man swagger and I liked that phrase I've used it ever since. That and Lee Trevino calling young men "flat Bellies" are my two favorite ways to describe young people.

Reminds me of the Johnny Cash song "A Boy named Sue".

I got the scoop when Marchibroda was improving P. Manning in Indy.

Ben hasn't been so lucky with the O gurus.

True story I went to junior high and high school with a girl named Carrie Hunt talk about low hanging fruit. She was hot though in that late 80's early 90's way

Francis Fogarty was the Steelers GM from 1951 until 1968. During his 18 seasons the Steelers never made the playoffs and only had 3 winning seasons. During Fogarty's tenure Johnny Unitas, Len Dawson and Jack Kemp were cut. Fogarty is the one who traded Bill Nelson to the Browns for Dick Shiner.
He was a friend of Art Sr. but in 1969 the Chief made Dan GM and hired Chuck Noll as head coach and turned the franchise around in the right direction.

It's funny. All of my early Steeler memories take place in the 80s. So Mark Malone was the QB of my youth. I didnt hate the guy, but man. He just didnt have it.

I still remember watching the game where Bubby Brister officially took his job. I believe it was a MNF game. I instantly liked Bubby just because he wasn't Malone.

Anyways, I always thought Mark Malone was a great commentator after he retired.

Terry's fortunate he had his name, pedigree and talent surrounding him. Otherwise just another lost name in the annals of Steelers QB trivia.

While I agree I'm not so sure he would have won anything if he was not on a team with an amazing cast of players. I remember the early years and he took some crap from the fans. He was super lucky to have Lynn Swann at WR. Bradshaw would heave a ball in his direction and hope for the best.

Ed Brown was the first Steeler QB that I have a good memory of. He made the Pro-Bowl in 1963 and was also the team's punter.

When you reached #14 I was dreading seeing Limas Sweed. This is much better.
