James Washington has requested a trade

Hey man, it's training camp. It's hot, tension is high, and you're pitting a couple of alpha males against each other. There's gonna be some dust ups. The team will be stronger for it.

 

Uhuh. Dude requested a trade. No freaking question about it.

He probably had Tomlin pick up he and his agent, stop by Kinkos to make copies of his formal trade request, and then drive them to Colbert's house so all of them could discuss it.

Tomlin lied, like he always does.

If Russell Cosby was asked about Mike Tomlin, he'd say, "NC, NO CLASS!"

 

Packers just lost a receiver for the year.

We still don't know what JuJu is going to do about not wanting to play in the Slot receiver position. Once the season gets underway how much of a fight is he going to put up about going inside?

At the end of last season Washington probably assumed he would be starting in the Slot position. If JuJu is not playing in the slot this year, doesn't that mean that Washington is the starting Slot WR?

Maybe Canada will come up with a new name to make JuJu happy. We are going to call this the X-Factor WR position for you JuJu, and it is definitely not the Slot receiver position.

 

JuJu is going to line up wherever the play dictates. He's not going to complain. He wants the ball. Period. His contract next year will reflect that.

And I think we put too much stock in labeling the receivers. There isn't going to be one receiver running go routes and one 10 yard crossing patterns. There isn't a dedicated slot receiver. Especially with the bunch formation that we like to run, 3 receivers are going to start in the same spot and go any which way when the ball is snapped.

And Canada isn't going to do jack crap to make JuJu haply other than try to devise ways to get him open.
