It's a good thing they're projected to have over 70 million in cap space next year.

    Loudermilk looked decent last night.

I still think they could have easily waited until the 6th or 7th for him.

Pittsburgh is relying on those comp picks for the likes of Feiler and Dupree I believe. Of the two, Dupree will likely yield the higher value unless Feiler turns out to be the bigger hit. Either way, not sure how this does not telegraph to the general masses that Pittsburgh is not going "All In".

A triple negative makes my head hurt trying to figure out what in the heck you are saying. Are the Steelers "All in" or not, not, not?

The team has been in a "All In" state since 2017. It has just become more pronounced as of recently.

All in? Here I am hoping for a .500 type of season. Bills game should realign my expectations.

I don't get it. We are "All in" with a 6th round draft pick?

Show me a trade for a CB or OT with next years 1st or 2nd and then I may believe we are all in this year.

Shoot! I was counting on another Tom Brady with that 6th pick.

Feels more like a state of panic now. Still feels like the 3rd best team in the North.

Think they are really thinking they are going to get some comp picks.

Maybe a trade happens, maybe Washington does get moved, maybe they trade and move down from round 2-3 next year to get something extra?

I love the draft and it will suck not being able to use those picks next year, but I'm liking Colbert's aggressiveness too. I'm glad he's not just sitting there thinking - oh well we've done what we can this offseason lets play this season out. See a weakness and try to correct it with what you have available. In this case its 2022 draft picks. If they can get 2 comp picks next year, that's not as big a deal imo.

    1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd comp, 5th or 6th comp and a 7. Still 6 draft picks.

If Haskins looks like he could be the next franchise QB, and they use the cap money to lock up some core and add a couple FAs, I'm fine with the picks we have (something like 1,2,3,3,6,7).

Actually I think it all comes down to how Big Old Ben performs. I'm on the side that he is old and slow and won't last the season but that is just an opinion. Should the major injury bug leave us alone and Ben can somehow surprise us this team will compete for a Playoff spot.

With the schedule we have I don't think I could watch what would be a nightmare if Ben goes down early in the season. Ben may not be so mobile anymore but he does have football smarts.

If the players pan out the lost picks will be well worth it.

We will need all the picks we can get to get in on QB sweepstakes.
Please Steelers accumulate capital that will be needed.

Losing that 5th rounder for basically a half season rental is not a good look

If you've got a chance to play in the playoffs, you take it. They needed the help at inside linebacker, so I have no problem with that move.

The Schobert deal looks good right now. Trading up for Loudermilk could hurt, but he does look good.

I wish I could argue against this. I don't want to agree with you here, dammit. But alas, without the rose colored glasses, you're right.

We're not giving up a lot to get Schobert. We aren't on the hook for a lot with Haskins. We've got a line of offensive linemen just waiting to be brought in. Why? Because we weren't prepared for suck ass ILB, QB, and OL. How anyone can say we're not in panick mode, throwing darts at a dart board, hoping to hit the bullseye, is beyond me.

None of that means we're doomed, per say. But the writing is on the wall, and the letters form the word "panic."

But hey, Tomlin has his drawing board, his colloquialisms, his cavalier attitude, and his stellar regular season record. What is there to worry about?

    I don't agree with panic.
I think You can only see so much in practice (that's why I like preseason), and Colbert is seeing what needs 2 be done, and adjusting accordingly with the actual money , and Draft Capital we have.
2 believe every pick , or additions will work perfectly is IMO not realistic. So He is just doing what We should expect....His Job.

There's the S.T.D we know and love. Did your account get hacked and some negative, jerk-face post for you yesterday? I'd go with that.

But yeah, you're right. I'm just grumpy.

All in!!!! great!!!! we only have holes in the secondary, inside linebacker and the entire offensive line (assuming no one gets hurt on the entire roster because we would really be behind the 8 ball then).

LoL. No T. Edmunds...like Jarvis Jones use 2 ....just brings out the worst in me.
You know that's Why I'm scared 2 death about Drafting a Qb in the 1st round....because We know how this Team is ....if We draft You in the 1st, by God(sorry if that sounds sacrilegious)...We will play You whether You suck or not ,for 5 years because of the pick. Instead of in 3 years just going...Yeah bad pick.

Understand where you are coming from, but from the recent draft those lower picks would have little to no impact on moving up. Even a few spots is going to take trading 1sts, this year's 2 or 3,. And possibly the next 1 or 2...depending on how many spots you move of course, but it isn't cheap. The thing with lower picks is filling those back up/ special team places. That said this years team will be like the BUCS...SB win and every starter will come back for a dime just to experience Steeler greatness...who needs picks when Ben's second career will take us to 2030...
