Not disagreeing, but If You've watched the Games(Which I know You probably have) been a lot more then just Ben. Our D seems 2 like 2 disappear during a lot of those playoffs. How many times even with the turnovers have You said ....ok Just hold them 2 three this drive and we can win..

BAM ....Not only Not hold them 2 three , but let them March 60, or more yards for a TD.

All I'm saying is a lot of blame 2 spread around.

Absolutely. The defense has been terrible in several of the losses. I was really just pushing back against the "Tomlin has a franchise QB and can't win in the playoffs" narrative. It is BS because the franchise QB rarely plays like a franchise QB in the playoffs. But Tomlin has overseen a defense that has also come up small in the playoffs, at least the last several times.

The biggest thing to me is Peyton always folded in playoff games. Happy feet & forced throws when the team needed him most. 2 rings thanks to a defense.

Can't say the same about Ben. One fumble away from 3-0 in the SB.

Ben wasn't 100%.... neither was Polamalu and no Ryan Clark vs. Tebow Broncos. The '94 team was stacked and healthy, but still lost. The Tebow loss pales in comparison to the '94 season AFCCG.

The San Diego loss is the worst sports loss I have experienced. The Steelers were so much better than Chargers. We might not have beaten the 49ers in the Super Bowl but we damn sure would have given them a better effort than the Chargers did.

Well, that explains Bradshaw’s less than stellar interception record...

    Based on what? 12-4 vs 11-5, Steelers had the #2 D, #16 O, SD had the #9 D, #5 O.

    Oh please.

The '94 team was better than the '95 team that went to the Super Bowl the following year. The '95 team lost Woodson for most of the season and started 3-4. I remember it well... I was living in Pittsburgh for both seasons. '94 season was a tragedy because it was the 2nd best team Cowher coached, only inferior to the '05 SBXL team. Total waste... and I still get depressed thinking about the loss to SD. Chargers are one of the most mediocre teams to ever make the Super Bowl. Definitely in the top 5.

I can only think of 2 Chargers from the 94 team...Junior Seau and Natrone Means.

I'm sorry your day was ruined back then, it was tough on me, too. I bought the hype and was starving for a return to the Super Bowl, but it didn't happen because O'Donnell was a marshmallow.

But those two teams were more evenly matched than Steeler fans want to admit.

You're making a fool out of yourself, the Chargers has been described as one of the worst Super Bowl teams ever.

    That's your argument? "Experts say"?

The Steelers would have gotten housed by that Niners team, too.

Interestingly, in 2017 on points scored Steelers had 8th best O and 7th best D, while Jacksonville had 5th best O and 2nd best D.

Yet we still see that game as an embarrassment. I mean, any loss is an embarrassment, obviously. But I wonder if the appalling start to that game hid the fact that Jax were actually quite good.

I know they would've lost to the 49ers, but that was a average Chargers team, the Steelers were loaded on defense that year.

    Lol.

I mean, if posting something that manages to completely ignore the post he was quoting, and bringing up the "omgBortles" as if the entire Jags team was awful, counts as a win then... I guess... if it makes you happy?
