Louis Lips might very well have been the best receiver in Steeler history. I know of course that he didn't have the success of others but he also had Malone Woodley Brister as his QBs. There's no telling what he could've done if he'd had a compantant QB.

He's frequently overlooked, but he was damned good for a long time.

I'm assuming these guys will have plaques/pics etc in the Great Hall at the stadium?? I was only able to go to one game back in 2016 IIRC and didn't have a lot of time to look around as it was a night game and we didn't get there early enough.

edit - guess the Hall of Honor didn't start til 2017.

The 2021 Steelers Hall of Honor Induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Heinz Field.

Each inductee will receive a solid steel football, which will replicate the original that was given to Steelers’ founder Arthur J. Rooney Sr. by the United States Steel Corporation and United Steel Workers in 1982 for the team’s 50th Season.

The Steelers’ Hall of Honor, established in 2017, is comprised of former players, coaches and front office personnel who were integral in creating and sustaining the franchise’s success dating back to when the team was founded in 1933.

The 80's Steelers are a blur for many reasons, but Lipps was really a guy that was made to be a Steeler. Another guy from the era that deserves consideration soon is Dwayne Woodruff..not to may good memories from those days, but these 2 were outstanding Steelers.

Marino throwing to Louis Lipps would have been great to see! Lipps was born too soon and too late.

Imagine Roethlisberger having Lipps as a weapon at WR.

I watched Marino to super Duper & the 3 yards a hike with our rested defense was much more exciting.
