Sorry but coming from the other side of the globe you don't know what these guys mean to me. I just love the Steelers AND a lot of people from Sheffield do aswell. We love the guys. Don't take it for granted. We don't get to see the beautiful game up close like you people do. But we love and live it. Pointless post and probably more warranted close to the season starting but here's some passion.

Nice post @UKSheffieldSteeler i live in Ireland and love the Steelers and the NFL in general. I’ve been lucky enough to attend some NFL games but have not made the trip Heinz field yet. I will definitely visit the city and attend a game at some stage

As do I and have done since the 70's.
Moved to Calgary waaaay back in '71 but am originally from Edinburgh and other than before this Covid **** got home every year.
Don't you guys have an ice hockey version of Steelers?

And to our Irish friend above, be sure you do, win or lose you'll love it. A three-timer with just the one win to savour but have loved every trip. (even though a Jonah)

Was in Leeds as a young man (not at the Who concert:)) Few buddies went down to Sheffield. They did not fair well but we may have been what you would call ugly Americans at the time. Young and cocky and very stupid. Got to love youth.;)

I love Liverpool in the Premiere League. The town reminds me of blue collar like I saw Pittsburgh in the 70s. There was a great video on Youtube showing people from all over the world following the Steelers and many were not transplants.

How is American Styles Football viewed by the UK? Soccer has grown in popularity slowly but steady here.

Sheffield is a very blue collar City as well, and is obviously famous for its steel industry. This was a large part of me becoming a Steelers fan amongst other reasons.

Liverpool is awesome, unique and iconic and it's people are very bonded.

In terms of NFL popularity over here, I'd say it's strong and growing all the time. There are plenty of fans, and probably an increasing amount of serious fans that have allegiances to their teams for vadious reasons. There are loads of knowledgable NFL fans about. It will never be anywhere near Soccer as that dominate 99% of sports interest over here but it has a really strong hold on people and accessibility to watch NFL games via streaming, TV packages and in bars feels higher than ever.
