I used to go to charity auctions for the Steelers. John Jackson was a waiter carrying a tray of appetizers. He’s big. I’m not. He turned around to the right with his elbow and pretty well demolished my face. Booming voice : “Sorry”.

Chuck Hinton confused me so I looked him up. Seems he is a baseball player.

Like our 64's!!!!!!!

I found him and I must have seen him since I went to some games in the 60's but have no memory of him.

 

Jeff Hartings could make the Steelers all underrated team.

Rarely mentioned as one of the great Steelers centers.

 

Good thing I wasn't buying tires at this time, or That's what I would have on my 1st ride.

 

Funny, I was always a Pepsi person when I was young but after the commercial with Mean Joe I tried Coca-Cola for the first time. Stayed a Pepsi person until I gave soda up.

 

I never like cola's. So
LoL. Every once in a while I buy Ginger ale for mixing in my beverages.

 

Before Latrobe the Steelers had training camp at Slippery Rock University for a couple of years. It was only a few miles away from where I grew up so my dad took me with him to watch them practice. I was 7 years old and seeing Chuck Hinton and Big Daddy Lipscomb was like seeing giants from another planet walking around.

 

I too was taken back by how big they were. I was 8 at my first Steeler game and my brother-in-law knew some of the big wigs at the time and I got to go right outside the locker room after the game. Freaked me out seeing this big muddy (rained the whole game) giants walk right by me. A few gave me a little nod but I have no idea who they were.

I have been given tickets for the Eagle game. I have been to two pre-season games in my life and both were against the Eagles and we won both. I'm going for the hat trick!!

 

Only Preseason game I've ever been 2 was Bears V.S The Somebody's I don't remember. LoL.
I only went because it was free.
Otherwise all my Preseason is on TV.

 

I have preseason tickets and don’t go. I give them to families with kids who otherwise couldn’t afford to go.
