Why 4 pre season game

I saw the first signs long ago

 

I can see the usefulness of preseason games for checking out the new and young talent on the field. It doesn't seem like it's in any way a reflection of how good or bad the team will be in the regular season. Its football though, and we watch it.

 

The 4 games that don't count are so that the fans can kick, scream and throw stuff during every fumble, interception and missed tackle. Some fans will even yell Fire Tomlin during these meaningless games.

 

Everything was fine without a normal preseason last year. It's about the money. Any free money is still free money, and that's essentially what they get from preseason games since they aren't paying players what they normally make.

 

We have a lot more unknowns this year.
So this year more than any year in recent memory I believe, and I'm happy with having 4 preseason games. Hell I wouldn't mind 5 this year.

As usual the Guys that don't need the time won't get the time, but the guys that do should have plenty.

 

I think it's important this year though they have a lot of UDFAs to check out, and they're putting in a new offense.

 

I don't disagree that they can be helpful. I just don't think that's why they actually exist.

 

Of course it’s about money. That’s business.

 

We got stuck with the HOF game this year, so we got 4 instead of 3. I doubt any starters would see more play time because of this, so there should not be additional risk.

 

The starting O line better be getting additional playing time, the New for starting CBs, and one of the OLBs

 

When was the last time Ben played in 3 preseason games?


This year I think will be different with Mason pushing Ben to practice and play more this offseason.

 

The Db's and LB's for sure need it..We have been hearing for years they have communication problems they all should be calling out their assignment's on the field and on the sideline ..Then they should all be given test about each call that was made and what the next guys responsibility was on those calls ..After 4 games of that they all should be on the same page ...

 

I hear you. It shall be interesting 2 watch.
Like I said earlier this Preseason maybe the most interesting in a while.
