To answer your question, yes the 500 level is the higher seats, I sit in Section 530

Sections 528-541 Steelers sideline Sections 504-517 Visitors side line have actual Stadium seats

Sections 518-527 are Upper End Zone seats and are bleacher seats, but bleacher seats with a back rest on them

I don't find there to be a bad seat or view in Heinz Field, but if you want to get closer you have to pay more, that is just how it rolls at any NFL stadium or game.

I do not find that you will get the crap kicked out of you wearing an opposing team jersey, but you will get heckled for sure, also do not bring attention to yourself, if the Bungholes make a good play, don't stand up and cheer and look back at the crowd and do stuff like that you will anger a drunken Steelers fan and they will turn into murder hornets.
So just go watch clap if Joe Wheelbarrow makes a good play, just don't drink and get drunk and make a fool out of yourself and anger somebody. Then just hopefully no drunken Steeler fan wants to cause a problem for no reason while your in the restroom or concourse walking around. The security at Heinz is pretty top notch and they usually do a good job stopping an issue fast I've seen it many times and believe it or not most fights I have witnessed are Steelers fans fighting Steelers fans. Usually some guy spills beer accidentally on somebodies wife, and then the husband is defending her honor etc.
So they fight to the death over spilled beer on a 20-year old starter steelers jacket.

Enjoy Heinz Field! Hope your Bungholes lose though!!

@troybellringer55@troybellringer55 pretty much summed it up.

You will get heckled for sure. Enjoy the game. Cheer for you team. But do not be annoying. If you make an ass of yourself you may get your ass handed to you by several people in your section.

But, I'm a nice guy one time years ago before I had my season tickets, I scalped a single, and sit 14 rows up from the field, with 4 WTF (at the time Redskins) fans
It was RG3's rookie year. They were so afraid of sitting next to an a-hole fan. These guys literally bought me 4 Yuengling's during the game.

Between 5 hours of tailgating, 4 beers at the game, the only mean person I met that day was my wife when I returned home, and I was a sloppy mess.

Your questions have been answered above, but I would add, the higher up you sit, the more rowdy fans you encounter… Generally. That goes for all stadiums I’ve been to. I’ve only seen one incident at Heinz field and it was against a Raiders fan, but he was being a prick and got what was coming to him. Be cool and you should be fine. The Steelers winning will also help your cause.

I would agree with the assessment that more rowdy fans sit higher up. The doctors and attorneys down in the Club levels and 100 levels don't want to fight you.

The guy who manages the tractor supply up in 500 who is drunk will show you a thing or two.

My friend went to the Bengals game last year in Cinn. He was decked out in Steeler gear. When he got home he told me he took a lot of **** from the fans. He will be going to this years Bengal game in the Burgh. As long as you are no where near him I think you'll be safe.;)

Congrats on having a QB who IMO is going to be the best in the AFC North and maybe the whole AFC in a few years. You just have to hope your organization can build around him. Tell me, do you miss Marvin Lewis? Just goofing with you.

I have been to see all three Pittsburgh sport teams in Philadelphia and I have seen some nasty stuff and I mean nasty. The Pittsburgh Pirates suck so I felt I'd be safe wearing my Pirate shirt to a game. Aside from the coke poured on my head from above it was OK. Never ever wore any gear there again except my Pittsburgh underwear.

I'm going to the Bengals/Steelers game in Pittsburgh and I'm sitting up top. All i can say is you're probably lucky it's a 1pm game.

I have been going a long time, and the only time I have seen fights in the 500 section is when people are sitting in seats that are not theirs, and also the 2008 AFCCG against the Ravens, but I'm going to blame that on the all day pregame Alcohol and the magnitude of the game.

I think you will be fine.

Don't let @troybellringer55@troybellringer55 fool you. He's going to be looking for you. He's already contacted all his friends and they know there's going to be a Bengals fan in the stands. And if you don't wear your jersey, they will beat up everyone in the upper deck until they find you. So wear your jersey and take your lumps. And oh yeah, enjoy the game!

Was that back in the day we had so many Willie's playing for us? Regardless you are a great Steeler fan for keeping your Willie up close and personal with steeler gear.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for many years. In general people in Pittsburgh are very friendly and nice. Be polite and most people will be polite. If it was a Monday night game some guy who had all day to get drunk might be rude. It’s a 1 pm game so I bet you have a good day. I sit in club seats and fans from other teams are always treated well. But this isn’t exactly the riffraff section. Just don’t take the bait from some drunk. Plus, right now, Bengals isn’t a big rival.

Welcome, enjoy. Other than loosing, I hope you have a great day.

No better time to purchase and wear a Steelers jersey to ensure a good time (and your personal safety). As you're leaving toss the jersey to some young Steeler fan in line (not unlike Mean Joe and the coke bottle). Then when you get home - don your full regalia in front of your TV and watch a replay and with any luck it will be a good game and Cincy won't lose too bad. Easy-peezy.:steelflag:

Not sold on Cleveland yet, last year might've been a 1 year fluke.
