I heard on a podcast that during the 11-0 streak Ben completed over 60% of his passes, down the 1-4 stretch he only completed about 45% .

 

Absolutely untrue. Ben had a 65.3% for the season . He was 60.5% in his last 4 reg season games and 69% vs Cleve in the playoffs. You can look this stuff up yourself, Pro-football-reference.com is your defense against social media BS.

 

Edit: For context, the NFL avg completion % was 65.2%. So Ben was a hair above league avg in comp %, last yr.

 

Maybe I didn't hear it correctly then. What was his completion percentage to the other team ?

 

Maybe this was mentioned before, but just heard an interesting stat. Ben was only under center for less than 50 snaps last year. I knew it was low but I had no idea it was that low.

 

You know the crazy thing is ....everytime I hear it it gets lower. By the time We play the Bill's it will be like once a game for a total of 17 times. His air yards will be like 1.4 yards, His Tds will be somewhere around 10, and his ints will be in the 40s range.

 

Yea, I hear ya. In fact, CBS reported Ben is just going to actually move to C. And that in a weird twist, all his QB stats are no longer applicable.

Seriously though, I heard that earlier stat from Kinky Aditi on some video blurb. Then some yackoff said that being under center, which Canada wants more of, will cause Ben to run too much. Professional commentators are saying this. So I went on Indeed looking to see if the NFL network was hiring commentators. I found it, but don't have a degree in Mularkey so I'm not qualified.

 

Without diving into this whole thread I will say that there is a season highlights video that Itz Yinzburgh put out for last season that I watched yesterday and it is really interesting watching how things progressed right up until the wheels came off and the season went sideways. There was a lot of wrinkles in the play calling in the early season that sort of devolved into 5 receiver sets with little to none on creative route running.

I saw some great throws by Ben, great catches and runs by the wr's and some nice runs by Conner. Didn't see a lot of great OL play though mostly average to poor.

 

I moved about 30 minutes north of Tampa, too damn hot in the bay...
