I'll pass. Bigger needs at CB and O Line. Highsmith should show improvement in year 2. Just drafted Roche who looks like a prospect.

I would love to have him, was very high on him in that draft. I just don’t know why NE would trade him unless we give them too much.

They will almost certainly be bringing in somebody at Edge before the season, unless Roche tears up camp. It’s so important to have a rotation of guys there.

Really wanted Winovich during that draft but why would the Pats trade him? I don’t see it

I read somewhere they might have 4 guys ahead of him at the position.

I agree. Now, with whatever the hell is going with DeCastro, they might be looking for an experienced guard.

Winovich is pretty underrated, I don't know why BB and the Pats don't like him. Steelers will rely on this guy ...

....and they'll be fine in the Pass Rush Dept. Plus, I think Highsmith is better than people give him credit for. That INT against the Ravens was a pretty intelligent adjustment, as he'd seen that formation and play in the 2nd Q.

Chase Winovich. Young OLB for the Pats. Played at Michigan. Looks like Matthews, the old OLB from Green Bay.

If the reason to trade for him is because he's from the area then no.

But they already swapped some picks to get Isiah the Milkman in the draft so I don't see it happening.

Watt and Highsmith are the starters but they can’t play every single snap or they’ll be gassed going in to the final quarter of every game. It’s very important to have a quality player to sub in here and there and keep guys fresh, ideally you’d have two but that’s not realistic.

At the moment they have Cassius March who can’t set the edge or rush the passer, and Quincy Roche who is a project at best.

I actually think OLB is their single biggest need if they are going to dip in to free agency unless Roche is better than we think. They showed some interest in Ryan Kerrigan before he signed elsewhere. Melvin Ingram is still available but it’s doubtful they could afford him. Justin Houston would be a guy that might take a reduced deal, say around $4m to play in that rotational role.

They will probably wait until final camp cuts to do anything. Remember how Joe Haden fell in to their lap in 2017, you’d be hoping for something like that again.

I wanted him during his draft and was disappointed they passed on him.

I doubt we could afford to trade for him. But if the price was right, I'd take him gladly.

He would be a great fit, but it doesn't seem realistic.

Exactly. Go back and watch drives where TJ and/or Bud got a rest and they can't stop anyone. Can't have that big of a dropoff in game, and God forbid one of the starters gets hurt. And not only do guys get gassed at the end of games, but seasons, too. See Steelers, 2018-2020.

They're going to sign someone. The Steelers were interested in this guy during the run-up to the draft. Makes sense if they can get him for a low pick.

I agree, but I'm not sure it would be a low pick. This team is in trouble if Marsh has to play a significant number of snaps on defense.

Agree. Marsh is not that good. Hopefully someone pushes him off the roster with better play.

Have to hope Roche can step up his game.

    And what happened to Ola?

I sure hope you're right. For one, I agree and that would make me right as well. And second, that would help the Steelers. You see, many of us around here apparently would rather be right than for the Steelers to succeed. That's why I must have subconsciously put me being right before the success of the Steelers.
