Once again your OP title is false.

And your assertions are totally warped.

Are you allergic to facts? (Comment plagiarized )

"Hey man, go home, relax, watch TV, do something different than the football."

I tried not to type too fast because I know you're a slow reader.

At a boy, see when you slow down and read carefully, you get the facts right.

Now that you know your mistake go back and correct the false title you posted. Do it slowly. You can do it. I have faith.

I posted this weeks ago in another thread but of course as a a positive. Harris was staying long after practice and coach told him to go home. They do have to go home eventually.

The positive take away is Harris has the right attitude, is a sponge and is working hard.

I think that “stop working hard” and “it’s awesome that you’re working this hard, but don’t burn yourself out” are very different messages, and clearly Faulkner was conveying the latter. The title of this thread makes it sound like Faulkner is saying “don’t try so hard, you’re making the rest of us look bad…”

Faulkner would be a great Olympic coach.

The thread title is a bit misleading. It's not like he's telling Najee to hop in a car and head to DQ with Lev Bell or to see if he should only do monthly jogs around the block with Big Ben.

There are more variables, but beer is definitely a highly correlated one.

Brilliant catch. As you may have noticed, I was employing the literary device known as "hyperbole", equally effective at illuminating a point and sending knuckle-draggers into a fits of angry keyboard clattering, but the general point stands - the Steelers shouldn't be telling guys to get their noses OUT of the playbook.

Not after how the last several seasons have played out. If anything, embrace and encourage it and let this kid lead by example.

Or they could just continue trash-talking and Tik-Tok'ing before big games and getting burned on flea-flicker TDs they would have seen coming had they put in the extra film work.

I just think you are reading too much into his comments. The coach obviously praises Najee's outstanding work ethic but in the same time does not want him to overwork himself this early in the process.

Well that's the Tomlin way. Do the bare minimum to keep getting a paycheck.

I guess they should have just handed him the keys to Heinz Field after getting off the plane and told him to make sure the grass doesn't get too worn down. Faulkner more than likely said this in jest and Najee more than likely laughed it off but some fans take that tidbit and become irritated by a simple comment. I'm sure he didn't go home, throw his playbook in the trash and request an immediate trade to Bill Belichicks team, although some of you could honestly believe that he did exactly that.

Or, maybe Harris has grasped all that that is required at this point and has accomplished (or exceeded) the objectives for this time of year and further knowledge transfer will accelerate more efficiently later on when the times comes with the rest of the team. I don't know this coach but assume he is good because he was hired by the team. Therefore, I will assume that he is doing what he feels is best until he doesn't and it is apparent by the results that he gets out of the players under his charge. Judgement can then be made at that point. Bills game, please hurry.

Leave it to the same people to turn a thread about one coach into a "Hate Tomlin" rant!

That's pure skill. Any fool can rant about the coach mentioned in the original post but to turn it into a full blown triggered hate piece for Tomlin, that is next level type stuff.
