They're saying Tomlin is most overrated coach possible ever. Fact or Fiction?

Maybe the secondary sucking balls is correlated with the never ending dismantling of the defenses options to hold back the passing game. Take for example the covert plan not to call holding last year. The rules committee giving it a test run? What you got insider SDOT?

 

94 season AFC Championship vs. Chargers is the worst loss in Steelers history by a long shot. Not even the Tebow debacle compares... Steelers had many injuries, Ryan Clark missing was devastating. Cowher is still a better overall coach.

 

Other teams seem to have no issues with the rule changes. We have some DB guru, right? How many years is it going to take for him to figure it out?

 

Actually other teams do have issues. The boycotting is interfering with your tree of knowledge.

Meh. Secondary cost us chances at Championships for years. I'm sure the thought process was this guy was a DB coach for 5 years. He can evaluate talent, draft and coach them up. Cortez Allen, Artie Burns, Sean Davis, and Edmunds later... Ok yeah, he can't do it. The situation only got better once we outsourced talent; Haden, Nelson, and Minkah.

How anybody can defend TOMLIN at this point is truly beyond me. How many times do you need to see the same **** before something in the brain clicks? This guy will never win another AFC Championship as the HC of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

 

I'll go one step further... Steelers won't win another playoff game with Tomlin as the HC.

 

Now my friend...that is pushing it a bit .
Even a terrible coach (I'm not say MT is) can win a playoff game with the right team, or the other team , sucking, having key injuries, and maybe their coach just sucking.

 

The 3 of you should probably do something better on Steeler game days if you don't believe in Tomlin and the organization.

 

The results of the last 10 years speak volumes. I'll always be rooting for the Steelers, but I don't see the Steelers having any post season success until major changes happen within the coaching staff, starting with HC.

 

I can see how the Steelers can have more post seasons success if they stop turning the ball over, get better play out of the QB, and simply execute better. It would also help if they were lucking enough to have minimal injuries heading into the post season.

 

True, but the Steelers are currently an average team in the AFC and not as good or consistent as Bills and Chiefs. There's question marks all over the roster, especially on the O-line and CBs. RB improved with the drafting of Harris. TE could possibly be better in 2021.... same with Punter. Also, there's not a lot of depth at ILB and OLB. If Watt and/or Bush miss any amount of time, Steelers are in for a world of hurt.

 

Exactly. I personally don’t have a lot of confidence in Tomlin at this point, but I’m a Steelers fan and we have what we have and I’m gonna throw my support behind the team.

I haven’t believed in TOMLIN for around 5 years now but still want them to win every game regardless. Just because I live in reality and not fantasy doesn’t make me any less a fan.
