I just don't see it. After seeing the same movie over and over and over again, your know how it ends.

I can see that, and he had some decent seasons with Denver with Demaryius Thomas on the other side. If you have 1135 yards as a number 2 then you are not a shabby number 2 at all. In the right system I think Ju Ju could flourish for years with his talent. Call him a 2 or 1B really does not matter, the Sanders comparison is pretty accurate.

that's not how the Steelers do things.

they go into every single season trying to win as many games as they can. and Ben gives us the best chance to do so, not Mason.

Which is the problem, all they care about is a good regular season and that's it.

Yeah the tik tok drama doesnt help. If your an elite athlete and in the top 5 in your position you can probably get away with doing that stuff. When your not anywhere close to being the best of the best its not a good idea. Add in the fact that he and his agent thought they were getting a huge payday probably had red flag warnings for most teams that talked to him (if any). JuJu might be one of those sad cases where his career isn't derailed but its definitely not what it could have been if he would have made a few different choices. As much as i hate saying this maybe AB was a little bit Right about JuJu.

I think it is more along the lines, that the Steelers realize you have to have a good regular season to be post season eligible. You can't compete to get to the Super Bowl if you don't make the post season.

I would also include the quota factor as it may hurt Ben if so many Steelers had gotten in recently and it appears to me they don't want to put another worthy Steeler in the hall right away. I think we have some very good players still waiting because of this. JMO>

Since there is no green font, I just want to clarify. Do you truly believe these things?

So get rid of Rodgers Green Bay it's just delaying the inevitable, you 2 Tampa Bay.
Hell every team that's paying top dollar Qb money...ya'll do the same. Your just delaying the inevitable. Mine as well suck ...but you may, or may not get a better Qb in the draft ....for cheaper....go ahead they got 2 retire sometimes, or breakdown...
    Why delay the inevitable.
    LoL. :smiley1:

Well in GB's case they drafted Jordan Love for a reason didn't they? But it's not that they're top dollar QBs. It's that they're in their late 30's and there's only one QB that's the rare exception who still looks good past that age.

In the first quote, considering it seemed like both Colbert and Tomlin were ready to move on and Jerry Jo...excuse me Art Rooney intervened and said we have to bring Ben back then yes.

For the second, when you keep failing miserably in the post season and getting embarrassed but do little to nothing to change it, then yes I see an incentive that says well the league still made money, the Steelers still made money so who cares.

Ok. I’ve also met people from the flat earth society and people who think the moon landing was done in a studio. I’m good.

Exactly some of these morons on here think Ben will be good this season after just watching last year and the fact he’s a year older. Blind homers bring nothing to a conversation. In terms of who should be QB? Anyone but Ben time to rebuild. We lose with Ben we can lose with Mason a FA or draft pick too

And you can’t win a playoff game anymore with Ben or TOMLIN so what exactly is the goal?

Maybe they didn’t feel they could move up into top 10 to get a QB or didn’t want to pay that price, or maybe they didn’t like the QB’s that were there.

You guys act like they can’t start to fix the remainder of the roster while going with the QB that gives them the best shot at winning. If they weren’t going to move on from Ben and draft a QB, this was the next best thing.

There is strong evidence to support Bens drop off last year was due to injury. Making a declaration that it is a wasted year with Ben is just people talking out of their poop chute.

We shall see Blast we shall see

Unfortunately I don’t even think we will get this debate to play out. Ben can’t move away from a rush or defend himself anymore so I’m believing his career ends before the end of 17 games.

Ben gets injured practically every single year. You have to suspend disbelief to think that won't happen again this year with what should be an even worse offensive line and his age. And then when that does happen, rather than showing Ben the bench, he'll just keep limping out there with no real offensive progress as a result. Obviously I'm not in the FO, but I see no long term plan here. Idk.

I’ve already expressed my doubts about him making it through a 17 week season but I still don’t follow your logic. You think Rudolph takes them further?

If Ben can stay healthy, he’s their best chance.

My logic is Ben's not gonna stay healthy and as bad as Mason can be, he's still a younger body with less rust and no surgically repaired elbow. Or Haskins idk, though I doubt he's gonna work out.

Ben gives them the chance to win 10-11 games, and make the playoffs.
