So much for Art II sending Tomlin a msg and making him ‘prove it’ in 2021. Same as it ever was.

WOW. I shouldn’t be surprised Rooney has accepted no longer being a SB contender. Why should I.

Obvious move is obvious. Art does not care about #7. 3-in-56 is all that matters.

Thought they may have let him go into this season without an extension the way they were waiting.

In a sick sort of way, I’m enjoying this because of the number of heads that are going to explode on this board because of this.

Ridiculous. What has he done lately to deserve this extension??? I’m starting to think the Rooney’s are too damn loyal. Pull your head out!

For those of you playing at home on the TSF message board bingo go ahead and mark "things that will make Steelers fans lose their collective stuff" if you have it. This is a blackout game so we play until somebody wins.

Tomlin's never had a losing record. I'm surprised the Steelers didn't sign him to a 10 year extension.

As I've said many times before, this franchise is absolutely allergic to change. No surprise here.

But now we will finally get to see what Tomlin is like without a franchise QB.

Didn’t we see that in 2019. I was actually encourage by that, don’t think he will get saddled with worse QB play we saw that season.

Change for the sake of change often turns out badly. I hold up the Browns, Raiders, Jets, and formerly the Redskins. They change sometimes year to year grabbing the flavor of the month and never build a good foundation. I'm not of big fan of incremental changes as it's sometimes just band-aiding one spot only to another pop up. They did go with an outsider when they chose the new OC so maybe new blood will spur change or maybe guided change.

Just goes to show what we already knew about Rooney's thoughts about playoff success. Who cares, the regular season is all that matters.

You're talking about franchises that switch coaches every other year vs. one that does it like every 20 years.

If the Pittsburgh Penguins took this same approach, we'd still be stuck with Dan Bylsma and probably no back to back championships in 16-17.

    we love to suck

i have said BLAME ROONEY for years. this is a joke. we suck.

we have seen 15 years of what MT can do. it is not much. he is a nice guy - but time for a shake up. I was hoping Tomlin and Ben would go out together. I guess that ain't happening.

I wish there was a sportsbook that would allow you to bet on things that won't happen. I'd lay $1,000 on the Steelers not winning a Super Bowl in the next three years.
