If you were Stranded on a deserted Island. What 5 albums would you have?
No Greatest hits, or live shows. That's Cheating.

    5. Master of Puppets- Metallica
    4. Memorial Album - Hank Williams Sr
    3. Angel Dust - Faith No More.
    2. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
    1. Crack the Skye - Mastodon

I could have used many Elvis , Lynryd Skynyrd and Willie Nelson albums, but 5 choices is all you get.

I'd add A1A to my list if I'm taking Buffett. In fact, let's do this. Off the top of my head (give me time to think and the list might change), and in no particular order:

Changes in Latitudes - Jimmy Buffett
    A1A - Jimmy Buffett
    Back in Black - AC/DC
    Turnstiles - Billy Joel
    Exodus - Bob Marley

Way too many honorable mentions to list. And not using live albums is a bummer as the list would be completely different (same with Compilation or greatest hits albums).

I have an idea for a question like this. But I don't want to steal anyone's thunder. I'll wait and see if someone else does it. (No. Not a greatest hits or live list)

    AC/DC High Voltage

    Chris's Stapleton Traveler

    Iron Maiden. Piece of mind

    In any particular order

That's why I made the no Greatest, or Live Albums rule......Because my list would be different also.
    Great List.
Also ....B.M-Exodus...there was a time I wore that out.

    Seriously.
I still got some cassettes, but almost everything I had I purchased in CD.
Even the stuff I had in Vinyl records.

    Hmm. :hmm:
Yeah I think streaming or something is what everyone uses today.
    Not sure.
I haven't had a New vehicle since 2009....so...I always moved my Stereos from vehicle 2 vehicle. Everything I've ever streamed that I already own on disk sounds like crap 2 me. IMO.

I know I'm in the minority in that I don't have any songs on my phone. I can't imagine what it would cost to put all those albums on my phone! I don't listen to music much anymore.

I don't have music on my phone either. Well except My own songs I've written, but that was just 2 check if it sounds alright in that medium, or is it media. LoL . Anyway.
    Music is my only constant.
Kinda makes me sad in away when you say you don't really listen 2 it much anymore. If it once brought you joy.....it still can.

Dark Side PF (I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl in 1973 when they premiered this album)
    Who's Next - The Who
Live at Pompei (Especially the DVD) - PF
    Relics - PF
Turn of a Friendly Card - Alan Parsons (although a few bonus cuts from Eye in the Sky - Sirius and Eye would be better)
    Seventh Sojourn - Moody Blues
Best of Fleetwood Mac - The Peter Green Years (w/original Black Magic Woman)
    Best of Joe Satriani

PS - forgot about Low Spark of High-Heel Boys - Traffic

Actually 3 are "Greatest Hits" or "Best of" and one live - PF at Pompeii (no audience though - perhaps a portend of Covid days?

No in this list you can't have Live or Greatest Hits.....that's what makes it harder 2 pick.

Damn you and your list:) I'm too damn old to remember titles of albums and I am not sure I can put them in a top 5 list but the Number 1 for me hands down is David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.

At a point in my life I got into Rap music. At this point none of those are top 5.

    BuckCherry first album
    Led Zepplin 4
    AC/DC first album
Aerosmith first 3 albums (sorry) True story, I was a young buck in Hawaii when Aerosmith was just coming out of Boston. Me and a friend went down to the local radio station and begged the guy to play Dream On. No one in Hawaii heard of them at the time. Next thing you know they come there as a back up band to the Guess Who. I kid you not, they were shocked at how crazy the crowd went for them. Tyler said, "we didn't even think you people heard of us and a huge thank you to (radio station name forgotten)" Actually it was me and my roommate who brought them to Hawaiian ears.

Yeah, that's how our new Camry is. Have to use Android Auto and play music through PowerAmp, which is fine, but more of a hassle than just popping in a CD.

Cool, another Satch fan. I've seen him live twice. Once on his own and once with Steve Vai and Eric Johnson for the first G3 tour.

Would have killed to see those 3 together. Although my hearing would probably be even worse than it already is (according to my Lady who's always turning the TV down). She doesn't appreciate the need for knick knacks to bounce around the room via sound waves.
