Does start to beg the question why are they always cash strapped? Obviously they say they try to build a contender every year but it sure as hell hasn't paid off. Perhaps spend more money on the coaching?

 

That would explain our terrible secondary in years past.

 

Bud, Hilton, feiler, alualu, soon juju..... I don't recall another team losing so many major parts in one off-season.....
I don't know if I'm looking more forward to the season or to the amount of comp picks we'll get in next year's draft

 

Free agency is here and this has everything to do with getting paid as this is their big chance playing off good years from their rookie contract.

This isn't some plot against Tomlin and Co. No evidence at all for that just some people thinking what they want to think with no factual basis whatsoever.

They have entered the buyers market and the Steelers don't have the funds as they've been going all out with restructuring deals the past couple years in hopes of winning a championship.

It didn't happen enter rebuild mode. Steelers are trying to retain what they can to have a serviceable roster at this point.

Next up to leave is JuJu Smith and AV at LT.

 

Could we trade Ju Ju for Anthony Miller , The Bears a looking to trade him ......Srry if this is a stuipd ?, dont really know how all the nonsence wrks when it comes to FA.. lol

 

Can't trade a free agent. Juju is a UDFA.

 

Hilton got $6m per year, lower than I thought. Steelers could have matched that using the same type of deal they gave Sutton without breaking the bank.

I wonder what the endgame is, looks to me like they are happy to let these guys go.

 

some what conflicted with Hilton. As a Steelers, he’s very good but how much of that was system and how much was skills. For some reasons, I see him as the second coming of Malcolm Butler. Take him out of the system and he’s just average

 

Yea we will really see and I think they will reach a point of no choice. Times are changing in the nfl.

They only need one good player on each side of the ball. Bringing back Ben shored up the offense and keeping TJ is the only thing we need to have a top 5 defense. We can let everyone else go. I think Rooney has a couple nieces that can fill in. Or he can step in if need be. And I think Colbert's extension actually gives him a jersey as well. His number is 01 because that's the target wins for this season. It really doesn't matter who they let go. Tomlin only needs to win 1 game to be considered a great coach with this crap fest.

 

But that one play was a blockbuster. His fire blitz off the edge had to be accounted for. And don't tell me that anyone else can blitz off the edge like that. Because they can't. Hilton was responsible for at least half our sacks, int's, and forced fumbles on that 1 play!

I have been wondering for a while now, if JuJu's market would be less than anticipated. Even if his number is less than expected, it will be more than the Steelers can afford
