I love Spillane. Exceeded expectations last season, glad he is back. I don’t know if he is starter quality but he can definitely be great on special teams and fill in when needed on defence.

Good back up, dependable and smart. Makes the most of his talent. No problem with keeping him around.

 

Another good move by the front office with limited cap space.

The next step is re-signing Jessie James to a cheap deal for depth.

Then got to figure out what's going on in the secondary after that. Have some pressing issues there pun intended

Given how they seem to always struggle to keep linebackers on the field they’ll want to keep Vince but yeah, they gotta do something with that cap hit. I think if they were going to cut him he would be gone by now?

 

I would think. But they could be playing leverage. Spillane thinking Vince still in the mix on the front side, and now opening Vince to taking a small extension if they don't pick up a younger/cheaper depth option.

I have to agree. There potentially has to be better options out there. This team wastes too many rosters spots on recycled players.

I wouldn’t suggest cutting Ebron. We got to have somebody who can play TE.

 

Ebron can catch passes, he doesn't play TE very well.
