Maybe to start the season but I’m sure they will take one in the draft. Regardless, they need depth, had to be done.

Yea, I'm sure there are no other centers out there. Do you really think he will start the season and come game 7 they will say ok jc we got our rookie ready now like we agreed on so go sit down. He played so well last year so I'm sure it had to be done. Lazy coaching and evaluation by the front office. JC was so sought after. It's going to be a long season.

Yes, he’s not Pouncey, not too hard to sit a player like Hassenauer if he’s not playing good. You’re the one who is always talking about the importance of these guys who have experience in the system, guess that doesn’t count for the players you don’t like.

Who’s to say he wins the job out of camp anyway or that they don’t make another move before than at center.

Imagine the snaps to Big Ben in Shotgun. Someone cue the Barnum and Bailey reel.

I say that because a lot of them are good enough. Feiler, foster, finney, AV, spillane, mondeaux, pierre, harrison, etc., etc. many over the years came from these ranks and some played roles and some were good enough to start, some are spot starters when we have no other options. Like jc. Doesn't make him a good starter as we saw. In the off season we have options. They didn't look real hard.

Not going to fill every hole in the draft, and the best center (Dickinson) has a bad injury history. It's time for Colbert to find the next Jeff Hartings.

In the draft get 3 guys who can start early - power RB (likely Harris), OT, TE ready to block from day one.

That's their only shot with Ben back and the loss of key free agents -- reel back the offense to a ball-control, TOP game plan.

His PFF grade was worse than Pouncey's last year.

I might look at Alex Mack, think he's a FA this year. Would be a perfect bridge center until they find the next 10-year anchor.

If Decastro's 2020 problems were injury-related and he's OK in 2021, the interior of the line could be very good with Dotson-Mack-DD.

decastro had those same injury problems in 2019 and 2020. hopefully he's OK but two years running now it's been a problem. he had surgery for the knee at the end of 2019 season and it carried over into last season. i think the end is getting close as he ages.

Oh man, I would love Mack, actually I wanted Steelers to draft him back in the day.

He already has a quote in the media saying he would love to play for 49ers, I wonder if he would come here?

PFF is garbage...To many of you focus on their evaluations...I WATCH the games, and being an Ex OL, I watch them closely...

Pouncey was horrible last year,Blown up and pushed back in the run game, His once elite athleticism was long gone...

Oh and he snapped the ball like **** the last how many years...That's what I saw... We're gonna improve with Pouncey gone, trust me!

PFF has called Pouncey the most overrated player of the decade and generally has a poor opinion of him. They watch games, too, every player, every play.

Somehow philly managed to sign Kelce. $9million. Maybe the cap is going to be substantially higher? They have been saying the TV contracts are doubling in cost
