I still feel he is our #1. Had some tough drops last season. He will rebound in a big way.

On one of the national broadcasts the announcer said he was out 3 hours before the game just working on catching the ball. For the most part this type of thing is mental, if he continues to progress I agree with you he can and will be a top receiver, and if Chase continues you just have to find a way to keep both. Wishful thinking, but the game has become necessary to have 2 pro bowl caliber receivers.

Could be another reason they let JuJu walk, they won’t be able to pay all these big contracts at just one position.

This has happened before when they had 3-4 guys at WR, they chose AB. They will continue to draft and develop, but having 2 guys like that with such different skill sets would be awesome long term.

Agreed. His inconsistency in 2020 essentially summarized the entire Steelers Offense; immeasurable ceiling but also barren wasteland of a floor. No binaries either. Should JuJu indeed depart, Diontae will definitely need to have a much better 2021 for certain.

Side Note: C'mon Blast with the sig :lolol:

JuJu is out 3 hours before the game dancing on the logo, making Tik Tok videos .

JuJu also only dropped 3 passes all year.

they still need another good one added to help out. one in the mold of DJ. quick and fast off the ball. that is what made johnson good and AB good. thats what gets and got them open. it will benefit all of them.

The steelers seem to be able to draft wide receivers that are very good. I hope that continues after JU JU signs elsewhere. Now if they could just draft good D backs!

If Diontae can get his head on right when it comes to securing the catch first then he can be as great as AB was before his mental meltdowns.

I was looking at the PFF mock draft and they have the Steelers taking Kadarius Toney at 1.24, I looked him up and man he is impressive. Imagine defences trying to cover Toney, DJ & Claypool in a Canada offence!!

Dont see them going receiver in the first but if they did I think Toney could be that guy you describe that just makes the whole unit much harder to deal with

We draft Wrs well because of our Qb. Ever wondered how on the most part Great QBs team always seems 2 draft QBs well, and not so great Qbs team do not.
Favre, Rodgers, P. Manning, Brady (4 the most part), John E, Dan M.and even Eli ( in his prime) just 2 name a few teams are just magically able 2 draft Wrs.

it makes sense to make the best part of the offense better. it will help the run game as well. lets face it if ben is staying we are not going to become the titans or the old big 10 with the 3 yards and a cloud of dust. forget that. we need to run it better but we will also use that RB as a receiver. that part worked well for us when used. 3 hard to handle WRs does that for us and takes guys out of the box. there is more than one way to make your running game better. it's not with just big horses up front and a big bruising RB. 3 good WRs (2 quick-1 big deep threat-1 pass catching TE) makes defenses back off or get burnt. it causes mismatches. thats what we need.

they have to fit what the team is trying to do as well. there is a reason ben liked AB and DJ. quick off the ball gets them open sooner, which helps the line protect. if a defense has to guard against that it opens up a big fast WR and big pass catching TE to do damage. it also helps the RB run and be a threat out of the backfield. might as well add what our qb likes instead of trying to change him at this point. toney would help ben and canada's offense do different things. it would actually help the line and run game.
