Isaiah Wilson, first round OL pick for the Titans is being considered a draft bust after one season. He is now saying he wants out of the Titans organization. Could he be a salvageable pick up for the Steelers should he be cut? I wouldn't trade for him because they will still want highly compensated for a first rounder is only one year out.

Guy sounds like an absolute nightmare. If they cut him he will be claimed off waivers long before the Steelers get the opportunity to pick him up, and as you rightly say I don’t think you could trade anything of value for a guy with his issues.

Steelers already got the QB version of Wilson. Don't need the real thing.

I liked Wilson going into the draft. But this is no longer an organization that can rehabilitate players. I would pass on any player that might create problems at this point.

This dude was suspended twice as a rookie, he hasn't accomplished anything, at least AB was an All-Pro and proved himself before he acted up.

Of course he would be a salvageable pick. The Steelers are just the right place. Have him stand in the former 1st round players who suck line and let the hope and wishes begin.
Sarc off: I don't know who this dude is but my gut tells me that if their is smoke, there's fire and this player sounds like he has burn marks all over him. How many of these types of players, high draft choices, over the past 20 years or so, have come to the Steelers and and actually been somebody? I don't know the answer but maybe someone else can give a precedent of this type of situation.

Organization that rehabilitates players? lol we are more like the organization that creates problem players now. I am exaggerating a little (but only a little).

Oh and hard pass on any 1st round pick that couldn't get on the field for more than 4 snaps (unless they had an all world player in front of them on the depth chart). This dude is trash and with an even worse attitude. He will be bounced from the league in a year or two if not sooner.

Futures contract costs pennies. Why not kick the tire?

Sounds like the Miami sent to San Francisco head case Lineman a few years back... Differing situations but red flags abound

I think the kid has talent. Can he be fixed? Maybe. Do I want it to have to be us? No. Do I think he could fix our issues if he truly is a #1 OT? Not entirely, but he might be a player you look at.

I think my gut is...he should be the hail mary only option.

You can't judge any 1st rounder after only 1 season talent wise..... Now head wise is another story entirely

Say what? We're you around here after JJones, BDupree, and Edmunds first years? This courtroom was standing room only behind the bench. LOL. JK, I agree, some take more time and yes if its upstairs, that is much harder to fix.

Traded to the Dolphins for basically nothing, what a disaster of a pick by the Titans.

    And the Dolphins cut him.

Showed up hours late for his physical and orientation, didn't show up for optional workouts he said he would attend, and refused counseling the team offered.

If anyone needed help, it's him, but he's too whacked to even realize he needs it.

Still a great value for a waiver claim.... costs virtually nothing.... for a possible 1st round talent with a UDFA brain.

This is the problem with giving some guys FU money so quickly.... they don't understand that there is still work to do.

I would put in the waiver claim.... stick him with a few hard working vets..... see if they can get him to want to be a football player..... if it dont work.. maybe the next team can get him on board before he is out of the league for good

    HACK

    uh...no.

There's no value there. In fact, negative value. Once he arrived you'd spend time and effort trying to salvage something that's unsalvageable. That time and effort is better spent elsewhere.
