I see Tim Tebow has gave up on his quest to play MLB. He really should give the Pirates a call.:rolleye:

When he is old and gray he'll tell his grandchildren his greatest achievement in professional sports was winning a playoff game against the great Pittsburgh Steelers.:)

I actually liked the guy and wished he had more success at the pro level. Not against the Steelers of course.

Hey Philadelphia how's that superstar QB you told me to watch the next 15 years?

I still think if Ryan Clark played in that game they wouldn't have lost.

Defense was terrible that day, and that day was really the end of the great defense we had from the 2005 and 2008 Super Bowl wins, and 2010 Super Bowl appearance.

Not to mention that was the game where Steelers with a record of 12-4 had to go to Denver because 8-8 was good enough to win their crap division. That needs to be changed imo, winning a division should not guarantee you a home playoff spot.

missing Clark hurt, but the whole defense was decimated by injuries in that game.

The whole dick Lebeau dare TT to throw coupled with the above, was recipe for disaster. Stacking up on them the way they did... it just takes a time or 2 for someone to let someone get behind them and voilà. Damn that game still pisses me off.

True. But at least they wouldn't have to deal with the Denver altitude.

There is no excuse for losing to Tim Tebow I don't care how injured they were.

It's been a horrible trend for this team for a looooong time. Getting beat in big games by scrub QB's.:frustrated: It usually doesn't bode well for my health directly after either.:tequila:

What made it worse was the Broncos got absolutely destroyed by the Patriots the following week. The Broncos were completely exposed for what they really were. One of the career defining games of the Tomlin era, and 2010s as a whole for the Steelers.

Or maybe the superior 12-4 team could give the crap 8-8 team a beat down in their own building. It happens.

Besides. Since that loss, Da Stillers have had 4 home playoff games and lost 3 of them, all effectively by double digits, (excluding the last play of the game TD vs Jax). Who’s to say TimTebow doesn’t win that game if the play it in PGh? No way that could happen, you say? Of course, there was no way a Cle team with no Coaches and no OL could win in PGH either!

Oh they easily could have lost that game at home not saying that. But it's just a weird scenario where one of your top defensive players can't play because the environment would make him severely ill. But I guess if Cleveland can win with no HC and a good portion of their team out then there really is no excuse.

People seem to forget that Tebow did that to a lot of teams that year. He was an exceptional athlete, with an incredible will to win. The Steelers were banged up and playing without Ryan Clark in the secondary, and with a hobbled Big Ben. I wasn't shocked at all when they lost.

Why is it when the Steelers lose a game they were supposed to win the injury excuse comes out? Other teams have injuries too and they figure it out.

They got destroyed 45-10 by the Patriots the following week. Tebow went from a hall of famer to high school level QB in one week. I don't care if he had some magic during the regular season... Playoff teams should be able to expose teams as flawed as the Broncos were that year. It was an embarrassing loss and still talked about to this day.

Maybe the other person was talking abut the Raider game where Pryor ran all over. Last time I checked he is still running.

I think that was Cowhers last year at coach where he just looked so unemotional.

I thought it was because his wife had cancer but I was told those time periods do not overlap so who knows.

I can see both sides of that story. If the Eagles would have won their last game of the season the 6-10 NYG would have hosted a Playoff game.

#1 was Ike Taylor that day. I believe he still is looking for the ball. This game was the beginning of a downturn in the once vaulted defense. And it has taken years to rebuild.

If it was a home game they would have been a 10+ point favorite and probably been down 21-0 before they woke up.

Terrell Pryor was 17 in 2006.

Our fan base is really bringing it in this thread.
