Perhaps not, but the guy has been a viable option as a reserve/occasional starter in the NFL for a long time. I'm not sure I buy the interpretation of the Saints-Chiefs game from the Steelers Depot Twitter account. I don't think he is anything special, but he wasn't a disaster against one of the best defensive lines in the NFL today.

a perfectly viable scenario, he may have just taken time to get back into the swing of things...

Again I have plenty of criticisms of the team and have stated them here. I don’t always agree with the decisions they make, but I’m smart enough to know that bitching about it nonstop here isn’t going to change anything the Steelers do.

Perhaps, though that was somebody's interpretation of the game live. Knowledge is only part of the equation there. Bias is another. That sure read like somebody looking to downgrade Wisniewski.

They said the same thing when he started this season for the Steelers, he's on the wrong side of 30, and he was returning from injury at the time of his release.

But I am done with the Steelers for this year. They won’t be winning anything. Doesn’t mean I can’t make fun of idiotic homer’s like you

One of many reasons I didn't care for Seinfeld was that episode.

He started one game, he was only going to play if a starter was injured.

Compared to what, hassenauer? Steelers depot has done this biased reporting on players before too. I take it with a grain of salt at times. Which guy is starting in the super bowl for the second year in a row? Nuff said.

Steelers fans were overrating Wis, he's not good anymore, they probably kept Hassanauer because he's younger and has more upside beyond the 2020 season. It wasn't just Steelers depot, Bouchette said it also .

I was never at any of the meetings that they had when they discussed what to do with Wiz so I can't say why they did what they did was a good reason or not. In hindsight it didn't look like a good move when they released him, but then after some time has elapsed, was it? Either way, it wouldn't have mattered where we ended up IMO so lets discuss something new like MT's coaching abilities.

Wis wasn't going to be the difference maker on this team. I think they should have kept him as depth but he wasn't going to turn this offense around. The issue is the game planning. You can execute this horrendous game plan all you want but it wouldn't make a difference. Every defense the last 5 games of the year was playing downhill at our offense. You can tackle the catch when that catch only goes 2 or 3 yards and stop this offense. Ben got rid of the ball faster than any other QB in the league and it didn't make a bit of difference when we lost the games we needed to win at the end of the year. Tomlin has no skill at planning an offense at all. None. Fichtner was horrible. It's to late to fix this team for Ben's final years. We are going to be horribly average the next two or three years. Tomlin will be the coach for as long as he wants to be so I'm used to that now. We are going to be the third best team in the division next year. Tomlin is a decent coach not a great one. Get used to it
