I'd hate 2 believe that. IMO. Steelers are 1 of 5 teams coaches would love 2 coach at. If he's not up 2 par. I would blame it more on not wanting 2 spend money.

When a team consistently underachieves like this one does, penny pinching, and very little chance of career advancement to a HC position elsewhere, I can believe that.

Good thins as it will nullify the rocket that passes Ben 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Just a thought here, Ben on his last year of contract, Tomlin the same and KC year to year, actually hasn’t even signed for this year yet, more internal hirings except for TE coach but just wondering if we are looking at a regime change next season, Ben, Tomlin and KC retiring, real retiring not forced out.

I could understand not bringing a bunch of guys in from outside if a new coach and GM will be taking over next season.

I think at one time that was true but I'm not so sure about that since dan gave up the reigns. Maybe the coaches aren't able to make their own decisions on who plays and how to coach players. Look at our DC, tomlin called the defense. That doesn't instil trust in your coaching ability when you get over ruled like that. Coaches at this level have pride in what they do, especially long time coaches. Why not have young coaches you can over rule when you want.

There is just no reason at all to believe that anything at all is going to change next season. Art Rooney listening to his interview last week is just completely clueless and thinks this team is better and closer then it really is and these coaches Tomlin hires are lazy hires that aren’t going to improve the team from a coaching perspective. It’s a team and a franchise now that thinks they are better then they truly are and it sounds like if they just make the playoffs and get their every year that is good enough for them. Winning a Super Bowl no longer matters to this team based on these coaching moves and Art Rooney’s comments last week.

Honestly everyone, this tweet is the only major positive that I can find.

Dante Scarnecchia is one of the greatest minds to ever coach Offensive Lineman. Hopefully this leads to something better but I remain skeptical.

That and lets hope Trai is right. Also, I believe Klemm was the one working with the rookies, Dotson sure did well when his number was called.

    Indeed.

Let us see if Mr. Klemm can continue this with a premium player. I still hope Leatherwood but Samuel Cosmi would not shock me at 24.... provided he gets there as the more I look at his tape, the more I see Franchise Caliber Left Tackle traits from an athletic standpoint. If not him, oh please Christian Darrisaw fall to us!!

    That would be so great!!!

I used to think this, that this guy may be the greatest OL coach of all time, but I don't know anymore... how much of it was Brady?

Again, a coach can only do so much. Dante was as just as big of a factor in those Super Bowl wins than without. Keep in mind he has worked with great players like Matt Light, Nate Solder, Isaiah Wynn, Joe Thuney, David Andrews, Macrus Cannon and more.

Coaching is merely one half of the equation. Talent is another. Both are needed to succeed. Think about it this way; 8 players opted out of the 2020 New England Patriots long before the season began; Marcus Cannon being one. Even before that though, Tom Brady knew that the Offensive Line talent he had during those Super Bowl years simply was not the same in addition to a beleaguered Receiving Corps. Once 2019 was up, he ran out of New England and Cameron Newton stepped up to bat. As we all saw, their Offensive Line simply was not the same as it had been.

Either way and, as I said, I remain skeptical. That said, the fact that Dotson did so well as he did does give me a bit of hope. However, I need to see more from Adrian Klemm and more importantly, what he can do with some premium talent.

Hopefully then the team can add an Assistant Offensive Lineman Coach as that would accelerate the development of whomever their presumed Offensive Lineman will be.

Is this a joke? Needed a strong coach from the outside to turn the trenches around. No, just hire the intern...

They should have just hired Glemm instead of Klemm
