Of course. No brainer, QBs are much more valuable than edge rushers.

It's because Watt is our guy. If he were on Houston and Watson were here, they'd laugh at you for suggesting the trade.

Not true. There are plenty of "our guys" I would trade, but TJ isn't one of them. He's an impact player who works well in our system and I wouldn't want to lose him.

Yes i would trade Watt, you can neutralize a LB, like they did in the Playoffs, more easily than you can a good QB.

C'mon. It's DeShaun Watson. I'd trade TJ for Mahomes or Wilson, but Watson?

Not a good analogy. But as I said, there are other guys considered "our guys" I would trade in a heartbeat, but TJ isn't one of them. He was very decorated this year, and I believe will only get better.

Opinions vary of course but just stunning to see how many people don’t think Watson is a good QB

Second best QB in the league, IMO. Can make a case for Wilson being better but I don’t think so. Other than that, not even close. No, Allen isn’t better.

Did you even pay attention to what Watson did this year on a horrible team? The dude is a stud and frankly he’s behind only Mahomes in the AFC.

No, I did not. I just think it would be foolish to give up your proven best defensive player for a QB not named Mahomes or Montana!

Just out of curiosity, wondering where the tipping point is for the loyal fan base.

A question, only for those who won’t part with TJ for Watson, how about Minkah for Watson? Is that enough?

My questions pertaining to this hypothetical trade has nothing to do with how great of a QB DeShaun Watson is or is not (he is a Top 5 QB but that is besides the point). My question is simply based on trading one player for another. Even if it is someone like T.J. Watt, for DeShaun Watson?! A straight up one player for one player trade?!

Offering up essentially a 1st Round Pick for another?! Why the heck not?! Granted, you do lose some immense pressure on Defense but in return, essentially save your Franchise from going to "Soft Rebuild" mode in Watson. All that would remain for him is completing the Offensive Line up front. With the weapons that Watson has at his disposal in addition to Matt Canada having full control of the Offense; Pittsburgh would go no lower than 13-3; 15-1 being the ceiling.

For that matter, this team with DeShaun Watson would make Pittsburgh the only direct peer to peer challenger to Kansas City as there really is no "Kansas City Rival" like the media hypes it all up to be. DeShaun Watson to the Steelers would change that in an instant.

I agree about Watson being the second best. Not sold on Wilson and honestly, have not been since the collapse of the "Legion of Boom". Until Russell Wilson shows me he can win without arguably the greatest Secondary the league has ever seen since the "Oakland Soul Patrol", expect more of the same.

Stafford to the Rams cost 2 first rounders, plus a 3rd plus Geoff.

What the heck will Watson fetch.

Makes you wonder what Mahoney would fetch in a hypothetical deal. 4 #1s?

Obviosly yes now that Stafford has set the QB trade market so high ...No way could you get that much for Watt...IT would probably take Watt and a 1st.and 2nd. to get Watson...

*Goff, but yeah. Rams last first round pick was Goff in 2016. They don't have another until 2024.

Watson's might have gotten screwed. Market too high now.

Lol - not even close. They'll want at least 3 first round picks, and not 1.24 type of picks.

Miami might be the only team with the capital to pull it off.

Dont you think Watt would be worth 2 firsts ? If not what would you value him at?

Maybe, didn't look at it that way because of his salary demands. If he *can* pull two firsts, the Steelers should hold off on extending him until next year. If things go sideways fast, he gives you a lot of capital for a rebuild that will eat a couple years of his prime.
