If Gerry Dulac said it, it must be true. :lolol:

I dont know anything about him, but the Giants and Broncos sure havent developed any quarterbacks in recent memory.

Maybe Peyton Manning is bored with retirement..... he'd be a good QB coach.

To lazy to even care about who he has coached in the past, both teams drafted junk...you cannot coach up a Yugo to even Vega or pinto quality...(showing my age).

To expensive, however if Dobbs get not contract offers they he is the guy...I mean he offered one play that worked to Ben and all of a sudden he was a future coach of the year.

Is there a salary cap for coaches? We have one of the smallest coaching staffs in the league. Pairing Dwayne and Mason with Peyton (hell even Ben respects him and would listen) is a cool, distant thought. Totally a spitballing daydream

Less hassle and more money making Nationwide commercials with Brad Paisley.

There are four considerations to every hire:
    • Did he ever coach/play with Tomlin?
    • Is he tied to Pittsburgh at all?
    • Did he spend time in Maryland?
    • Is he cheap?

No cap for coach's, I have read there is a general consensus for what positional coach's and OC/DC gat when new, but really up to what their agent and the team agree on.

There is a salary cap, it's called Rooney's wallet.

If they don’t have the money they don’t have the money but otherwise, someone needs to convince them of the importance of having a top notch coaching staff.

Wasn’t long ago we had a coaching staff full of ex head coaches and we didn’t do squat.

The line was playing a lot better, the offense was a lot better. They didn’t have two end of season meltdowns.

Your definition of not doing squat is different then mine.

You're right. But generally speaking the Steelers staff is pretty sparse in comparison to other teams. You need to find the balance between not being bare bones but not too many cooks either. We need more creativity on the offensive side that's a definite.

They didn’t win a SB with ex HC’s on the staff but are we really going to debate the importance of finding the best coaches possible?

Somehow I don’t think that includes a guy that hasn’t coached in 3 years and a ho-hum resume. It’s no secret the Steelers have the smallest and cheapest coaching staff.

Munchak was worth every penny and while Haley was toxic, the offense was better under his watch.

Alex Smith had some good things to say about Haskins. Maybe Steelers can talk him into the gig.
