Would have made sure this guy was safe. I don’t trust Boswell’s health.

Meh, there are probably 30 Matthew Wrights out there waiting to be signed, if you need somebody.

Boswell has an offseason to heal. He kept getting hurt because he wasn't able to take the time to get back to 100 percent.

Wright seems like he can be trusted up to 40 or 45 yards, but that's about it, and his kickoffs are terrible. That just isn't going to cut it as a full-time NFL kicker.

This may have been as much his decision as the Steeler's. W/O really any info it is hard to say. Yes I would have offered a spot on the off season 90 man (do not know if they did or did not), but he kicked well enough that perhaps he felt a better opportunity would arise. This year was unique because of an expanded PS due to covid, that may not happen again. Going to a team with a dome fits his style better. Definitely needs to get his kickoffs deeper and kicking in a dome half the games may help him with that. Problem with Boz (beyond the health) is the contract, the dead cap is only 1.4 million over his actual hit. You almost have to go with him and hope he stays healthy.

Hopefully but he’s only played 2 complete seasons and pushing 30. He’s also had a lost season because he got in his own head about kicking and was missing everything.

Looked like they had something in Wright.

The guy that wasn’t trusted to kick a 40 something yard field goal? Weak ass leg. I’ll sleep fine tonight.

Made both his kicks over 40, one was a 46 yarder.

    4 for 4 on FG’s and all 7 xp.

Hope you never lose sleep over anything this team does Glenn, that would be pretty effed up.

What was that the Washington game when Tomlin didn’t let him kick the field goal?
I’ve lost plenty of sleep over this team over the last 40 years.

It was his first game and who knows why Tomlin does the things he does.

If you lose sleep over the Steelers then you should remember a couple of kickers here that couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat. Despite popular belief, it’s not that easy finding reliable kickers.

Who knows if that would be Wright but he had a good audition.

I haven’t seen him send a kickoff into the end zone yet. I’m not sure if it’s by design or if his leg is really weak.

I'm sure we'll find another guy with 0 experience that we are forced to rely on in crucial games.

We are fine with Boswell....as long as he's healthy. I can only remember him having 1 troubling year...since he's been here. Well except his injury this year :hmm: Never Mind . . Might want 2 look in unsigned free agents after draft:hehehe:

If we needed a chip shot field goal to win the super bowl and our kicker missed it, yeah I’d lose sleep lol
