It was a throwaway joke, though it was a response to his response to Roonatic.

    Ah.. I see.

I have already made my stance as you know. Devin Bush for me. I would not have it any other way.

That said... my DROY prediction is in jeopardy. :(

JJ Watt out for the year. After this game, I'm trading Bud Dupree to the Texans for their 2nd. That's the 2nd we will give the Skins in our deal.

What's wrong with that? 2nd for Dupree would be a steal. Are we even signing him long term after this year?

Are you going to get the Texans brass drunk before they agree to giving up draft picks for Dupree? If so try to get a first for Artie.

Believe it or not. Bud and JJ have a similar stat line. Texans are competing for their division/playoffs. They need an edge rusher with similar production.

    JJ - 24 tackles, 9 assist, and 4 sacks.

    Bud - 24 tackles, 5 assist, and 3 sacks.

That looks better than a back-up. I don't think anybody else is giving up an edge rusher either. Middle to late 2nd seems reasonable.

Hey, it worked for Colbert in dealing with the Raiders. Twice.

Nobody is giving up a second round pick for Dupree, he will be a free agent after the season .

Broncos gave up 3rd and 4th for Sanders. Giants just gave up 3rd and 5th for Leonard Williams. Both rentals. The WR market was deep too. How many available edge rushers with Buds stats?

Why is Bud available? We should trade TJ for a #1 if we trade this year. I think he is going to end up like his brother, always hurt.

Why isn't he? You guys have been bashing him for 5 years. I thought he's been fine last 2 years. I think it's very telling Steelers didn't lock him up long term though. If he's gone at the end of the year might as well get a 2nd out of it. It would make that pick sting a lot less imo.

Nobody with any sense is saying it would be a bad deal for the Steelers, but there is no way the Texans give up a pick that high for Dupree. That you actually tried to compare him to J.J. Watt was the most laughable part of this.

I compared their stat lines not the players. If they are looking for somebody to replace JJs production. Bud has a similar stat line.

Especially since Bud Dupree is getting double teamed like JJ Watt.

Well you guys are doing a good job of killing Buds trade value... So who's a better edge rusher available to fill the need for the Texans?

    Skipper - 1 tackle, 2 assist, and .5 sacks

    JJ - 24 tackles, 9 assist, and 4 sacks.

    Bud - 24 tackles, 5 assist, and 3 sacks.

What are you crying about? With Ben being a diva, one minute he's retiring then the other he's all in. We got a 1st round QB talent for free. Now we don't have to worry about the position and can focus on OL and RB in the draft.

Just cause someone is drafted in the first round doesn't make them a first round talent.

He threw for 5k yards, 50 tds, and 8 ints at OSU and won Rose Bowl MVP. He's a high round QB talent. He came out too early and went to a horrible organization in the Redskins. I think he can turn it around. Low risk but huge reward. We don't have to waste draft picks or cap on signing a QB now.
