You're joking right? There hasn't been accountability on this team in a very long time.

I'm a Buckeye, too, and there's no way Haskins is a better prospect than Fields.

Stats are in Fields' favor, too.

Ben must be throwing a hissy fit because of this.

Signed... Could be just a camp/practice squad guy like Lynch. Better kick the tires and see what you got. Low risk/high reward. Nothing to really lose.

Not sure why some are having a cow over this. It’s a good move, if he turns out to be a bum, big deal but if he reaches his potential, QBs of his talent don’t dropped into your lap everyday.

    Ugh..

This actually could mean two fronts really. The first is this might be it for Big Ben either way. The second is that Mason Rudolph might not come back in 2022 since he is not on the books by then.

Big Ben is not the best of influences given Dwayne's recent history. Not dening the talent as it is clearly there. The issue with him will be maturity and overall desire as there were reports of him sleeping at meetings.

I don’t expect much to come of it and he had some off field stuff I wasn’t aware about but you never know. If they were starting him this season, I wouldnt feel good about that.

Hobbs is a FA, MR on the last year of his contract. Futures contract has no guaranteed money, if Ben comes back this will likely be his last year. The Steelers usually bring 4 QBs into camp, so no hissy fit, low expectations (remember Paxton Lynch), and just maybe he has been humbled enough to get serious about football.

Well, I called for it, and was roundly ridiculed for the crazy idea. Looks like it wasn't so crazy after all, huh?

that's really it. Lynch did not have off field issues that I am aware of, but really did not cost us anything. First round bust or not, someone saw enough talent to pull the trigger..a futures contract has no guarantees (usually) and with the talent he has shown he is worth the effort to take a look at. I am sure he will be on a tight leash with a short string. He only started one year in college, the real issue will be his maturity and desire to be to teachable...and stay awake, lol

Seriously. Some people can’t see the forest from the trees. If they can turn him around we might have gotten our next qb without using a draft pick. If not we gambled and lost on a one year prove it deal. #ohthehorror

Thats not even in the same discussion, Fields will likely go in the top 5 or even 10 if he slips..we have no draft capitol to move up that far. Haskins is a guy who only started one year, will literally cost us nothing to evaluate.

So let's compare apples to apples...better prospect as a 4th camp arm...Duck or Haskins?

True dat. Very little risk but potentially high reward. If not, then keep it moving.
