Once upon a time I wanted him but he did so spectacularly bad at Cleveland, not sure I want anything to do with him.

Then again, without all the control, he could go back to doing what he was good at.

I am glad to hear that there is an actual interview process going on here. Even if Canada is ultimately hired, it would be foolish not to explore all options.

Hue is a terrible head coach. But I think he is a good OC. I would be okay with this hire.

Is it just me, or is Gerry Dulac a less than reliable source of information?

Hes solid but Ed Bouchette is much better. For whatever reason Colbert, Tomlin or the Rooney's prefer to give new to national guys as opposed to local.

Yeah, I’m not freaking out over the possible Jackson hire, he was a good OC as you pointed out but I’m wondering why not Caldwell. Maybe they will or did already, we’re just hearing about Jackson.

Under the Rooney rule they had to have an interview process and interview at least one minority candidate. I still expect Canada to be appointed OC at the end of it

    My apologies sir.

personally I would like someone similar to the head coach in San Fran. Love what he did while oc of the falcons and currently out west. Everything looks the same. Just a few formations so you’re not tipping your hat.

I'm glad they're actually doing some due diligence instead of just promoting from within.

This is really bad media management, of which the Steelers have made mistakes in the past. I understand in this world of instant news cycles keeping secrets is very hard, but how would you feel if you were Hue Jackson realizing you were just coming in for a token interview. Yes it gets his name out there, but there was a mistake here somewhere. He could be the media just reading into things, could have been someone from Canada's camp putting something out that should have not been reported. Whatever, but to go a week with that report out there, then bring Jackson in..and then another report that indeed Canada is the hire just reeks of ineptitude, something you expect from Cincy and now Houston.

You cannot control what the almost worthless media writes. If in the end they do hire Hue the media will have more egg on their face, but there needs to be an internal audit for the Steelers media operations, this is bush league to me.

It can’t hurt adding someone with experience to the staff to hopefully see what’s going wrong.

why would the Steelers have an obligation to explain anything to a guy like you?

Rooney rule is great, but I would hate to be Hue, knowing the trip to Pitt is just a waste of time.

Hue is not a bad coach, might be a better fit for Ben than Canada?

According to Yahoo. Is this true. Yahoo puts out alot of fake news. First Haskins and now Hue Jackson. Are we watching the becoming of the old Browns or Bengals, right before our eyes?

Hue Jackson would have been my choice over Matt Canada and many other candidates as well.

Make Hue the OC, and Canada stays the QB coach.
