Bottom line: The Steelers are now the only team in the division where the next 5 years at QB are a bright and flashing question mark.

Besides Claypool we dont have any other WR’s. Juju is a good WR that can probably be signed at a bargain relative to his talent. I’m with Ben, I hope he’s back. Missing on Johnson and Washington have cost us. We dont have much choice outside of drafting a WR high and we have plenty of other needs.

I will also forever remember JuJu’s hit on Burfict. That alone is worth a new contract.

maybe Canada will use him like he should have been used.

Diontae is good, he just needs to work on not dropping the ball.

Ben and Mason are also good. They just need to work on throwing accurate passes.

Our Oline is great , they just need to work on blocking.

Agreed. Missing on Johnson may be the worst take I’ve seen here, lol.

Just shy of 1,000 yards in 13 games with 7 TD’s

After the 2004 season Ben was our young QB who was just named the league's offensive ROY. He desperately wanted the team to re-sign Plexico Burress and said so publicly. Plex was NOT signed.

Now Ben is past his prime and playing year to year. To put it kindly, he is not the future of the franchise. Now he wants the team to reup JuJu. I suspect that he has even less say in free agency moves (or non-moves) now than he did in 2004. Maybe JuJu is signed but if he is Ben would have very little influence in that decision

To be fair, he also featured himself in a Steelers jersey.

The article I read made it sound pretty innocuous, but my son watched the video for hours and said Juju discussed several different teams and kept asking the viewers "where should I go?"
    Who knows what he's thinking...

Diontae is their best route runner, he seemed to play better at the end of the season, less drops.

What kind of bargain do you think JuJu would settle for? These are the top paid WRs next year.

DJ is most certainly not a miss and might be Ben's favorite target. Drops are fixable, his skillset is tremendous. Washington is another story, but serviceable on his rookie deal.

PFF grades for Steelers WRs in 2020:

    CC: 75.6
    DJ: 69.4
    JuJu: 68.2
    JW: 60.9

He should slot in the $8-12M range. $10M makes the most sense but that all will depend on what FA's are available and how many buyers are out there.

Drops are fixable. Maybe. There's a long list of WR's that never solve their hand issues. The inconsistency will keep this offense from every doing well if he doesn't improve. Turnovers and punts are the result. No other player would have that kind of tolerance so I'm not sure what is up with the love affair for this guy. If we just assumed every weakness a player had was easily fixed, they'd all be probowlers. That's the difference between AVG and good. Good vs great. Only 7 WR's were targeted more than DJ. That WR spot has always been Ben's favorite target and the offense dictated it. Sure if DJ suddenly has great hands then he'll be worth keeping.... If our entire O-line can suddenly excel at run blocking then they'll also be great.

You're kidding right? Diontae is their best route runner and it's not even close.

The part you are ignoring is he never had issues with his hands. Players have hiccups sometimes. It was really a 3 game stretch that did him in, 7 drops.

It’s not a love affair so much as incredulous that you don’t see the talent this guy has.

I am afraid we will see JuJu twice a year if he does not sign with the Steelers. I think he will be in either a Ravens' or a Browns' jersey. My money is on the Browns if it is one of those two since they will most likely be parting ways with Beckham. Then we will see him dancing on our logo on TikTok in a new uniform. I would love to keep him, but I'm sure it comes down to salary cap.

Ben loves Juju because he’s a reliable possession receiver. I hope he stays a Steeler because I’d hate to face him on another AFC North team.

I'm done with JuJu. He won't sign here anyway. He wants to go to a big market where his "brand" is more noticeable. I'm not saying the kid doesn't play hard or that he isn't good at his job. But, I've had it up to here with the AB virus that he now has and that he's passing on to Claypool. I'm tired of these morons making a mockery out of the Steelers organization. This team I grew up with, this team I love and admire deserves better than some brat that's more worried about his Tik Tok account than being a professional. Screw him.

Ben loves Diontae too, I believe he led the team in targets, JuJu is good on third downs.
