    It doesn’t have to be either / or, both the players and coaches can be at fault. Coaches have a responsibility to have their guys focused and ready. They weren’t.

    Browns got exceptionally lucky but you simply can’t make the ridiculous errors that were made in that first quarter. The shocked look on the faces of the Steelers players said it all. They thought they were in for an easy night and never expected the Browns to come in and punch them in the face like that.

    Plenty of blame to go around, nobody did their job, including Tomlin.

    Tomlin sits back and waits for Ben to bail out his lousy preparedness and/or coaching decisions. Remember the SB against the Cardinals? Tomlin simply isn't a good fit for the team. Any other decent coach would've had a much better playoff record and possibly more championships.

    2010's = 1980's. 3 playoff wins. And it's hilarious the 80's gets more ridicule.

    No kidding. Remember Joe Montana (KC) beat us when we were in similar position, but we punted and punt was mostly blocked. Would have been a wild finish if same thing happed to KC this game and we got to see if Mayfield had any greatness inside him.

    Yeah because the lack of players execution had nothing to do with it :facepalm:.

    Tomlin doesn't throw TD passes or sack QBs or force TO's, so it's not to his credit when they win, right?

    The game plan couldn't be executed by the players. They proved it the previous 5 weeks in a row, yet no changes were made. Nothing about the execution was going to be different last Sunday then it had been the previous 5 Sundays. The same players were expected to run the same plays that hadn't worked for 5 straight games, why would it suddenly be different.
    Chase Young stated it after the WFT loss, the Colts players were calling out the Steelers plays pre-snap, the Browns didn't need to practice the week before the game. The Players were put in a position to fail and they did it in spectacular fashion. The biggest collapse in NFL history.

    The playoff wins of the 80's vs. Broncos and Oilers (with Malone and Brister) were far more impressive than any playoff win the Steelers achieved in the 2010's.

    I don't know about that. While it was ugly, we only lost by 11. There's always, Broncos/Seahawks, Oilers/Bills and everyone's favorite, Falcons/Paatriots. Those were huge collapses!

    Not the playoff game collapse, the entire season collapse.
    From 11-0 to losing 5 of the next 6, including a playoff game at home to a team who hadn't practiced and didn't have their head coach.
    The playoff game itself was more about putting the Steelers out of their misery than a collapse.

    Let's see how the Browns do without perennial first round draft picks and possibly losing players that other teams even want in free agency.
    It's easier than they made it look the last 25 years when you get first round (top choice) picks and no one wants any of your free agents or coaches.

    And Lamar Jackson said this season some of their opponents were calling out the plays, that crap is overrated, we don't know what the actual gameplan was because they fell behind so quickly.

    Ben saw the need to switch up the play calling in the second half of the Colts game, and it was the best football the offense played in the last 6 weeks of the season. Apparently he didn't find it overrated.
