Tua would have more success running the type of offense Canada historically implemented than Ben

Agreed...You ever have an employee that is not happy with your decision and almost tries to make you look bad?

Im not saying Big Ben is that much of a diva but love him or hate him..he is still better then half the other QBs playing in this league.

I hope Ben works his funny bone off this off season and can do RPOs!

Canada can double as the QB coach, and the OC.

Note:another story ‘broken’ by National media, and not the locals. 30 Pittsburgh guys must cover this team between TV, Sports radio, print etc. yet, they never break a story first.

Love it. He’s incredibly creative. Ben essentially refused to follow his plays last year which makes me think they’re planning for the future.

Good point SR6. Anyone know what accomplishments he has? Is he connected with Tomlin or someone and maybe the next HC in waiting?

Were there people asking for permission to talk to him?

Disagree. Canada's offense is far more run oriented that whatever Fichtner was calling. If anything I expect Ben and Canada to be arguing a ton next season.

Well he interviewed for the Miami OC position so they had to ask first. Accomplishments? All of his previous experience was at the college level..QB coach and OC...so we will see.

Accomplishments was beating an eventually NC in Clemson at Clemson via 40+ pts with Nate Pederman as the QB. Go youtube and look at Pitt's offensive highlights from 2016.

How are/were those runs constructed, as in how many from behind center as opposed to shot gun?

What I want to know, and we will probably not know, is how much influence did Canada have on this year's offense? If he had little influence, I am fine with the hire. If next fall the Steelers are running the same offense that failed this year, I will be disappointed.

It's both actually. It's a multiset offense that shifts 235674 times every play.

I am hoping for the best, but it means Ben is still clearly in control.
