I believe the PC terminology is "Let go".

Some folks on this board have the "Sheldon Cooper Syndrome."

Butler is a pretty good linebackers coach.

Personally I hope the Steelers go outside the organization to fill all 3 positions. Desperately need some fresh ideas here.

The offense needs completely re-done. If Canada gets the job I am guessing there will just be tweaks to the current system.

What about bringing Anthony Lynn in in some capacity? He has spent a lot of his career as a running backs coach, might help solve that issue.

Getting a strong OL coach will be huge as well, gotta get better there

I want to see what Canada can do with full control. I think it would be more than just tweaks. Tweaks is what they did by inserting some of his ideas this year.

If Ben doesn’t like it, he can retire.

Canada might be okay. I just would like to see more of a proven OC come in. Someone along the lines of a Chan Gailey or a Norv Turner. Not those guys specifically, but someone with a history of success.

these are good moves. It's nice to see the front office not put its head in the sand like it does in most off seasons.

If/when Ben retires, here is a thought. Promote Canada, and have Ben become the new QB coach. The Packers did this with Bart Starr at the end of his career. Personally, I think he'd be a great position coach.

I do find it funny put up almost 40 and the OC is fired just like the Jags game. Give up almost 50 and Butler stays because he lets Tomlin call the plays. I'll let you piece all that together to figure out who the real issue is.

You and I aren’t on the same page at all lately!

I’m tired of recycled coaches. If we want fresh ideas, need to think outside the box. If not Canada, then tap some other college coach. I used to be against that but it was at a time when the pro game and college game were completely different. Pro is much more like college now so I like going that route.

Fired, relieved of their duties, contracts not renewed.... Who gives a shi!t? People complain that they want certain coaches gone and changes need to be made... Then it actually happens and they whine about the terminology used or how it was done. At least things are changing, be happy. I’m sure you’ll be able to ***** about the new hires.

I'm not too far behind you lol, but I tend to type N rather than, abbreviate off coordinator off line coach def coordinator etc as OC OL Coach, DC to save typing

Usually fat finger letters on this small keyboard too

The new O Coordinator will probably be in in-house promotion.

What outside guy would want to come here with the QB situation iffy for 2021 and totally a mess for 2022.

Who cares? I know you like to point out little inaccuracies, but the point of the thread is these guys won’t be back. How it’s phrased, is really not important.
