Long time since my last visit.
Making an unexpected and early comeback to the forum (hoped to be here early February) just to put the traditional season-ending poll:

Who do you think has had his last game a Steeler?

Please comment if you think of another one (there are several FA, and possible cuts).

(Yes, you add Tomlin to the list, but we all know that's not gonna happen...)

Good to see you man. Unfortunately it’s not better circumstances...

My votes were more “hopes”, I think.

    I hope they re-sign:
Dupree, Hilton, Sutton and (lastly and if they can for less than $12mil) JuJu

Dupree, idk. Highsmith appears to have hit enough to warrant development at his cheap contract for the next 3 years. Dupree won’t be ready until at least late September I would surmise, and at $18mil a year this time and off a knee surgery. Still. I hope so

Hilton and Sutton I would take with open arms. Both should be for between $6-8mil each. Give them each three years if you can, they are fine starters especially at that price

How has it been my fellow writing friend!! Hope all is well!! To answer your question, here are mine:

    Maurkice Pouncey: COMFIRMED

Cameron Sutton: As much as I would want him to be the successor to Joe Haden, I imagine he cashes in big time somewhere else. Really wish he would have carved out a role here.

Mike Hilton: *See Cameron Sutton regarding cashing in.

JuJu Smith Schuster: Miami will do wonders for your TikTok as it will your pocket. No State Taxes either?! Sounds like the premier place for a player looking to cash in.

James Conner: Not much to say here. I wish him all the best.

Alejandro Villenueva: Thank you sir for serving the US Armed Forces. Even in your limited time, you were a quality Left Tackle. These last two seasons though you finally showed your age. I wish you nothing but the best and may you live out the rest of your life in everlasting peace.

Everything fine here, buddy. How about you? Nice to read you here...

    Interesting insight from @AskQuestionsLater , @08SteelCurtain and @Thigpen82

How should we read this results so far?
"94% think X has played his last game as a Steeler, or "94% want x has played his las game as a Steeler

After little analysis and looking at partial poll results, IMHO:

Sutton & Hilton should be priorities. Keep them at rasonable price.
Dupree & Juju are longshots, but would be welcome back.
Conner, Pouncey and Villanueva: Thx for your services, but we'll move on without you.

Fichtner: Well, if Ben stays, Ben will call the shots and we don't need you. If Ben retires, we'll develop someone else and anyway we don't need you anymore.

Ben: Most think he'll retire. I think he'll come back, and the Steelers will extend him (just to manage 2021 salary cap). He can't retire if we're drafting 24, have little draft capital to move up and have cap issues (no, DW is not coming to town anyway...).

Hey, welcome back. We tried to keep your Good the bad and the ugly thread going every week but we were slackers!

Pouncey, AV, Conner and Fitch I think are gone.

JuJu I’m 50/50, not sure which way that goes. I think they’d like to keep him, just don’t know if they can make it work financially.

I actually think Bud will be back. Offer him a 1 year deal, give Highsmith another year to learn and grow.

Joe Haden, Vance McDonald and Eric Ebron should be added to the poll, I expect at least one of the TE’s to be gone

A lot will depend on the salary cap. It could be as low as $175m or as high as $195m if they do a deal to borrow from future years

I think Ben will probably stay, if he does he will sign an extension with a void year to get the cap charge down

I think Pouncey and AV will retire, Juju, Sutton, Bud, Conner and Matt Feiler will probably play elsewhere in 2021

Keep Mike Hilton, and ideally Bud if the cap allows. I would like them to keep Feiler too and move him back to RT but it’s probably not happening.

Shaun Sarrett needs to be added to this list. And canned for real.

I’m cool with keeping most of the defense intact while building the line and RB. See what happens for the future

Thx, @Blast Furnace! Hope you are fine.

Believe me, not an easy job to make a weekly thread with same dynamic on this battleground forum! (good, bad, ugly....)

Agree with the ones you say are gone.
Hope we are able to keep Hilton, Sutton, as well as Dupree and Juju (long shots).

My understanding is that Ben is coming back, at least, for one more year: He didn't take a ponding (less sacked QB) and has young weapons (other than a much needed RB). Should build an OL for him if he's coming back, because it will one last sprint...
