How should I start this? I am embarrassed as a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. This is the most punch to the heart playoff loss I have ever witnessed as a Steelers fan. The Browns had 28 points in the 1st quarter? Damn. In the last 2 playoff games, the Steelers have allowed a total of 93 points. Jaguars had 45 points 3 years ago, and the Browns had 48 points last night. The Steelers once again had to make a comeback in a home playoff game. Once again, the Steelers lose a playoff game after a player from the Steelers publicly diss the opposing team. I believe Le'Veon Bell and Mike Mitchell dissed the Jaguars and were talking about waiting to play the Patriots in 2018. Big Ben had 3 interceptions, Browns running game gave the Steelers defense problems, Steelers could not hold on to the momentum that they were starting to build. Everyone deserves blames for last night's loss. Disappointing way to end the season, but Steelers need to take this as a lesson, and learn how to play for 4 QUARTERS, and fix their issues in the off-season and be better for 2021.

I'm guessing you weren't around for the Chargers/Steelers AFCCG? THAT was the worst! The Browns were clearly the better team last night!

I was only 5 years old back in 1994. I did not know anything about the NFL then. I became a Steelers fan in 2002 at the age of 12. Last night's loss hurt. Lol

I disagree. I think this is far worse. We started 11-0. The Browns have been the laughing stock of the league basically forever. They were missing numerous players as well as their head coach. Yet they smashed house, in our house.

That's the most embarrassing loss in Steelers history.

The funny and sad thing all at the same time, I was contemplating on starting a "Whats The Worst Steelers Playoff Lost" thread back on Friday, and I was going to mention for myself, the worst playoff loss for me, was watching the Steelers lose to the Broncos in the 2011 season to Tim Tebow, but last night's game definitely became number 1 for me. Lmao.

The loss to the Chargers was a million times worse. Steelers had a good team and totally flopped against an inferior Chargers team. The 2020 Steelers lost their starting ILB and OLB... this is impossible to recover from, IMO. 94 Steelers were stacked and still lost.

    The last three playoff games:
    at New England
    vs Jacksonville
    vs Cleveland

All started poorly. All started with poor QB play. All started sleepwalking into the game.

The Pats game in particular was on Butler. Going zone against 5 wide vs Brady? Haha. **** you man.

    This needs to stop

I think the big difference is that after that 1994 loss to the Chargers (which was brutal), they did make it to the Super Bowl the next year. There is nothing about this team that makes me think we'll be back to the playoffs anytime soon, much less to a SB.

Don't forget the year before when ol' ball coach Tomlin called the Patriots team @ssholes. He did it in the privacy of the locker room, but he had so little control over the locker room it was broadcast live by AB for the world to hear.
Every time you turn around, there's another pile of sh!t to step in with this guy.

Yeah. That (Chargers) was worst ever playoff loss. Never saw that coming.

We knew this loss was a possibility. Our offense had not had a complete game in many weeks.

When you gift the other team with a bunch of turnovers and a 28-0 lead in the first quarter it`s game over, even if it`s the Browns.

Now the wander in the wilderness begins. Ben is done. We will probably waste a year on Rudolph. Some guys may not want to play for us anymore (like Watt) when their contract is up. A huge spiral downward is not out of the question. We sunk to 6-10 when we got in position to draft Ben.

Is that the same Pats game where on the Steelers opening series on a 3rd and 1 Tomlin dialed up a bomb to the stoniest of stonehands Sammie Coates, who obviously dropped it, and the game was all downhill from there?

No they weren’t we couldn’t get out our on way to start the game we spotted them 28 points then we mounted a comeback and Tomlin burned it down when he punted on 4 and 1 I think that took all the life out of them

That 94 team at least had heart and a ton of fight in them. Steelers D last night looked hungover.

    This!

Oh, and it doesn't help that the hated Ravens won and are moving on to the divisional round as well as the Browns.

Neil O'Donnell was a turd. That Chargers team was very similar to the Steelers that year.

I don't know which was more painful for me, the loss to the Chargers in the AFCC or the loss to the Cowboys in the Super Bowl on a TERRIBLE int. Last night's loss was a gut punch no doubt. I'm not shocked they lost, but coming out and being down 28-0 before anyone could blink was inexcusable. I'm glad they fought back and at least made a game of it (a little bit) and showed some pride, but it was embarrassing.

The most painful loss by many is still the 1994 Steelers AFC Championship Game. That was by far the Team's greatest failure in its history. That said, the 2020 Steelers loss to their rival is right up there; behind that 1994 Season even.
