Edmunds is okay, but I feel we shouldn't have 2 safties who are soft against the run.

We need a dude who can also make a tone setting hit in the run defense.

    This.

Ben was not right after he took that hit in Dallas. That's when he really started trying to get rid of the ball quickly. He's a big guy and he's getting old. Healthy legs at his age behind that line is not possible. And a lack of a running game put entirely too much pressure on him.

Also, losing Bush was one thing. Losing Bud made this defense very ordinary. The defensive scheme is outdated, too. It was tough enough for a speedy guy like Bush to cover backs and TE's out of the backfield let alone WR's with world class speed. Now, Butler is asking VW, Spillane and some dude name Cassius Marsh to do it and that's just ridiculous.

There’s still space behind him to take steps backwards?

They also can't keep missing or reaching for players like Edmunds, Artie Burns, Senquez Goulson, Curtis Brown and Keenan Lewis. This staffs record for drafting defensive backs in horrendous

And I warned you about the inconsistency in the offense, but I was told they were averaging 28 points a game.

The Offense was bad but did make a comeback but that defense, whoa. The slowest LB core I’ve ever seen, and then there’s 1st rd draft pick Edmunds.

They were a different team before they got to 11 wins. They snuck out of Dallas with the win. They weren't good in several of the wins.

Don’t agree. Blew out several teams too. Problem is, fans want them to blow everyone out.

This offense and play calling was overall unimaginative this year. Really stale!!!

That has to comedown to coaching.

Never been a fan of resting people last week of season. I was on record saying I wanted the Browns out last week and wanted no part of them a 3rd time. Backing into the playoffs is never good IMO. Out of every playoff team that played this weekend... only 1 lost in week 17.... guesses? Here is a hint.. same one who took off the first Q this week.

I think you almost have to do some change at the coordinator level.

The issue with OC is if you are keeping Ben (which I would) do you dare bring in a new voice at this point. I thought Ben was as good as he has ever been in his career with pre snap reads. But I think that started to work against him as he decided where he was going with the ball pre snap. Bens best attributes where always letting the play develope and his pump fake. That pump fake would have been deadly on the double move all season... but was called maybe 4 times early in the year?

The nail in Fichtners coffin for me came in back to back possessions in the first Q. The quick handoff to Watt. I LOVED IT...I was like where has that been all year? Then the very next 3rd and 1... you run the exact same play from the exact same formation?

As for Bulter. I have been screaming about the defense all season. People just kept telling me they were tired because of the offense. . Then I watched them in the first Q do nothing. You can't be a dominant defense and force your Offense to score 35 points a game every week

Nail in the coffin for me was watching Spillane trying to cover Jarvis Landry on a crossing route.. every time they needed a play... How can you keep letting your LB try to cover their best WR ... and that's been all season.... and I really don't think it would have mattered if it was Bush. That's a match up a WR will win most of the time... that's bad design. The defense is smoke and mirrors. A back up Browns line shut down Heyward.Tuitt.Tyson and TJ.

Honestly. I like Tomlin... most of you are to young to remember... but he has a bit of Chuck Noll to his demeanor.... but give me Bill Cowher any day...spit flying energy that made his players want to run through brick walls

Danny Smith..eh... brings nothing special to the table... so replace him too just to send a message.

Not everyone, but you think they played well vs the Broncos, the Eagles, the Cowboys, the Ravens JV team?

They won, but that doesn't mean they were good or sharp in those games.

What are you talking about? Minka was coming down into the run support routinely and making stops. When you ask him to take on RB's that have the space and already got a full head of steam...then anyone his size is going to have problems. There isn't a Carnell Lake on this team

I hope that Ben is not battling some injury. That would only give him a glimmer of hope believing that he can lead us to the promise land only if he was healthy. He is done. He will never be healthy for a full season. Years of not taking care of his body have caught up to him.

I'm still going to go with the fatigue factor (Mental and Physical) really took a toll along with those key injuries.

Al V is gone. He looked like whatever strength he had just was not there anymore. \

Dupree is gone, Highsmith will fill out a bit and should be a force on the opposite side of Watt.

Not a guarantee that Bush comes back with his speed intact. With his undersize, he needs that speed to be effective doing what he does.

Spillane is a solid backup looked like he didn't have the confidence in that knee today. Didn't have that Strength he was playing with before he was hurt. Would like to have him paired with Bush, because Vince is likely gone unless he comes back on Vet min.

The Browns were stomping on the logo singing "SAME OLD BROWNS!"

Ben is gutless ! First play of the game you do your best Cam Newton impression. You literally stand and look at the ball waiting for some else to jump on it. Game over at that second.

I said they should have rested Ben against the Bengals and still stand by that. He was hurting and we were playing the Bengals.

The back-to-back run by Watt is classic Fitchner M.O. if it works once, do it again. He calls plays like I play Madden. I’m not too good with Madden and he’s not too good with coaching.

Danny Smith should absolutely be canned. What’s with all the short kickoffs? Was it Boz or did Smith call for that? We consistently let the Browns start their drives at the 35-40 yards line after kickoff
