I can already see the Browns sullen faces on the sidelines- but I’m sure tossing the Steelers from the playoffs will lessen the sting for them.

 

If you accept the fact that they won't fire Tomlin, because it's not PC - then you might as accept the fact the Steelers will have little to no success for years to come.

Since the Super Bowl loss vs GB a decade ago, the Steelers have 3 playoff wins

1. The game Cincinnati gifted them
2. Miami being QBed by Matt Moore
3. KC being QBed by Alex Smith with 6 FGs (and a late flag helped them)

This despite having a HOF QB in his prime and a HOF WR.

The defense is averaging allowing 28 points per game (that goes to over 32.5 points per game if you eliminate back up QBs).

and a playoff record of 3-6 (with 2 of those wins in 1 year) so in the other 9 years they have 1 playoff win.

Ps. The following teams will have playoff wins more recently than the Steelers

1. Browns
2. Jags
3. Cowboys
4. Falcons
5. Eagles
6. Chargers
7. Texans

Steelers did not deserve the playoffs. Dolphins would have played better at 10-6.
