It’s a shame Rudolph won’t get an empty stadium to run the Offense.

There's gonna be some heads exploding here if Rudolph leads the Steelers to victory over the Browns.

I remember when Dobbs played he seemed to be better at high pressure deep throws than one would expect.

What I would do is bring in Dobbs once in a while and fake what the defense expects (a QB run), then let him roll out and throw deep to Claypool.

Not sure how many fans are permitted in Ohio but I bet half will be Steeler fans.

That would be great but is he comfortable in this Offense?
Browns have to win. Must win.

That last game they had on National TV had about 11,974 crazy fans that were desperate for the Playoffs.
    It will be insane Sunday.

Why wouldn't Rudolph be comfortable in this offense? He's had 2 preseasons and started 8 games in '19 with 5-3 record. It won't be Rudolph's fault if the Steelers lose to the Browns. It will be the usual suspects.... WRs and Ebron dropping balls, D giving up 3rd and longs, inability of Oline to run block and inability of RBs to bounce runs outside when there's no lanes inside. Pretty much basic execution.

Yes "Rudolph's Revenge"game right here, I'm sure he has not forgotten Garrett's melt down. If Garrett tries to sack him he can throw a swift elbow to the gonads!!! I'm looking forward to this game Steelers win!!!:herewego!:

Hopefully the refs will give Rudolph the Brady treatment... after the last Rudolph vs. Browns game. 15-yard personal foul if any Browns defender breathes on Rudolph the wrong way.

Reading this thread, I'm sensing a lot of confidence in Mason.

So you think only one coach has input to decide who our QBs are? No MT input? No QB coach input? Just RF? That's amazing. Never knew every offensive position was was totally decided by one coach. Yes, I agree with you that we would be able to call completely different offenses that we've never run or practiced much, with a QB that has never been able to crack a starting role on multiple teams, and current not good enough to wear a helmet on Sundays and it would work. Got it.

I agree. It will be good to evaluate Mason in a real game situation.

Unless 2019 were full of fake games, we saw it last year. It wasn't pretty.

Mason isn't a "physical specimen" or anything but he's fine, especially as a back-up QB.

Rethinking, yes I do agree. Though we have seen a lot of play from some of these players this year due to injury. I think the intensity of the 'stains to get in the po's actually helps in the eval for some of these guys hoping to 'make a name' on the field of play.

I don't think it's due to laziness. I think Fichtner (or whoever is drawing up the offense's gameplan) is completely out of ideas. The only innovation we've seen was recycling the wildcat last season. It was just enough to beat a Bengals but was also largely responsible for losing to the Ravens and the Bills.

Mason showed some good things. He was thrust into the lineup before he was ready.

    Players can't improve??

Rudolph has only played 21 snaps on offense this year, but in 10 appearances in 2019 he completed 62 percent of his passes for 1,765 yards, 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions, and a passer rating of 82.0. He won 5 games. That’s good for a backup tossed into fire without preparation.

    Are you new to football?
