You are correct. Art 2 (my bad) runs the ship like his dad, is fine with not winning the SB every year like his grandfather, & displays the patience of both when dealing with knee jerk idiots that let their shallow views keep them from making any sense.

 

Overall I think Art II has done well. I do want to see how he reacts to how this season finishes. Wishfully, I hope he won't have to do anything.

 

Changing coaches is always risky ask the Lions how hiring the rocket scientist defensive guru Matt Patricia worked out.

Tomlin's biggest weakness is his poor judgment regarding his coordinators. Everyone wanted Butler gone for a few years after watching him ask Vince Williams to guard athletic TE's game after game. Then they stacked the defense with talent that in most games over comes coaching, it's either that or someone is helping on defense because their coverage schemes seem much more complicated in the last two years.

Offensively the Steelers are well below average in scheme and execution , part or most of that is on Fichtner but Tomlin has to see how putrid the offense has been and stands by and lets it continue. 50 passes every game no running game no deep threat is not a winning formula. Someone has to step up and find a way to force the defense to back the F up and stop stacking the box with 8 or 9.

 

Spoken like someone who started at a point of downgrading Tomlin and twisted things to make it all fit that argument.

Maddox, O'Donnell, Stewart, and Tomczak were all better than Rudolph and Hodges. And no, there weren't many coaches who could have won with what Tomlin had last season.

That doesn't mean I think Tomlin should stay. I started calling for him to go with that loss to the Raiders two years ago.

News flash genius, Cowher and Tomlin don't build these teams on their own, they don't run the organization like Belicheck does in New England. You're giving Cowher too much credit for putting those teams together, he had good GMs to work with.

Get a freaking clue, they lost these 3 games because Ben has sucked, against Washington with about 2 minutes left Ben throws a int. Before halftime in a close game against Buffalo Ben throws a pick six, they never recovered, against the Bengals Ben fumbled and threw a int in the first half.
