If he isn't making the throws in practice I'm not sure two weeks is going to help either. The one thing that frustrating is that when you watched the Chiefs/Saints game the Saints defense played the Chiefs exactly the right way taking away everything from Mahomes while getting pressure with their front four, the problems came when that four would collapse the pocket, Mahomes would escape and they didn't have the sideline to sideline speed to contain him. So someone would leave their man and boom flick of the wrist and he has a 20 yd completion. Now I know what most will say yeah thats Mahomes though. Then Findley throws some RPO at the number 2 defense in the league and runs for a 30 score so it isnt just Mahomes. Now I'm not suggesting that Ben could do anything similar I'm suggesting that whatever injury they are covering up is limiting what they do as an offense.

Not taking anything from Bernard but the inexperience at linebacker contributed to a good chunk of his yards. They bought the motion almost everytime and he just had to pick which vacated hole he wanted.

Still a Bucs fan here after 2 decades of futility and an owner that really does just care about making money. After the 1st 10 years it isnt hard to show up, it hard to have expectations.

Still think the 90's Bills have one of the most impressive accomplishments of any SB era team to not win a SB. Imagine 4 straight AFC titles and yet 4 loses as well.

I agree, that if there is an injury, it's destroying our offence. I have no idea if a 2 week rest would solve anything. But I figure it couldn't hurt. Things are getting worse and worse every week. Right now Ben can't even seem to hit a 7 yard throw that even I can make. Something is very, very wrong.

I just think that the division doesn't matter much this year. I just don't feel that home field is really much of an advantage. I'd rather sit Ben for 2 weeks and hope he can rebound, than continue to do what we've been doing with no success.

Four straight conference championships is a feat that will probably never be duplicated.
Marv Levy was (is, at 95 years old) one of the greatest, most underrated coaches ever.

If they were doing it out of loyalty to Roethlisberger, I would say that is idiotic. I don't think that's what is going on. They have no faith in Rudolph or Dobbs. They know the only chance this team has, however slim it might be, is for Roethlisberger to somehow rediscover his form from the first half of the season.

Then he should welcome the rest. Please let Ben sit for the rest of the regular season.

2015 Peyton Manning had 9 TDs, 17 Ints, with a 67.9 passer rating. He was sit down after week 10, and would then return for his first start in the playoffs to lead the Broncos to a Superbowl before retiring.

Well, at last we've found our culprit for the Steelers' epic collapse! Hang your head in shame, BF.

I'd be open to the idea of resting Ben for sure. I thought we should have done that against the Bengals.

Sometimes a change in starting QB gives a new energy to a team, which is what the offense needs.

My only issue is that if it's anything like the past, they'd throw Rudolph or Dobbs in with a gameplan designed to ignore all their strengths...

Steelers have turned me into a beaten down man. I don’t even have the capacity to argue with you two anymore. I applaud the upbeat delusional optimism. Maybe in my next life I’ll acquire some.

As long as we beat the Browns I would be happy at this point. Lets face it, too many injuries, our offense is playing scared all of a sudden plus Ben is basically washed up. Its over. Hopefully the rebuild doesn't take too long. Merry Christmas!
