This team is done for 2020'. Coaching is a key problem, lets be honest this is the easiest schedule we have had in some time... we beat many teams that will not be in the playoffs. And we just lost 3 games in a row.
This team is heading in the wrong direction. Now injuries are taking to many key players from this team to remain competitive this year. Losing Bud Dupree, Devin Bush hurt a lot for our defense. And the offense is not good right now. Roethlisberger is not the same player he was. he can't scramble and he is hurrying pass's to guys that are well covered. I knew the Steelers screwed up in not taking a quarter back when we had a chance, this would have been a good year for a rookie to learn, and come in... Jaylen Hurts was available, and Pittsburgh passed on him... He just threw for 505 yards against the Cowboys... even Roethlisberger didn't do that well... we need a young quick quarterback who is mobile and can make things happen. Ben used to be like this, but he isn't anymore. Take a look at Patrick Mahommes and see what he brings to the Chiefs... with a run game and some good receivers including Kelsey... the Steelers are in trouble and they are sinking fast... Figuring out how to get a better number 1 pick for this team is crucial...

Phillip Rivers is a choker, he always has been.

Has he ever won at Heinz Field? He has to have a losing record at least.

Phillip Rivers is the best remaining QB from draft class of 2003. He may choke from time to time but he's still a competent starting QB in 2020. Can you say the same about Ben?

Even now. Rivers normally plays good in December.

Then stop watching , if they weren't competitive anymore, they would be getting blown out of games.

The Steelers will beat the Colts, and lose to the Browns, 12 wins will give them the division.

    Stats this year:

    Ben: 3462 yards passing, 65.3% comp, 30 TD, 10 INT, 2 fumbles, sacked 12 times RTG 92.7
    Rivers: 3735 yards passing, 68.7% comp, 22 TD, 9 INT, 1 fumble, sacked 14 times RTG 99

99> 92.7 = Rivers is having a better year than Ben. His team is playing better than the Steelers too and will go further in the playoffs than the Steelers

They are. Blown out 2nd half vs Skins. Blown out 2nd half vs Bills. Blown out first half vs the lowly Bengals. The Bengals are in the bottom three teams in this league. We were down 17 - 0 to them.

Sometimes the final score doesn't indicate just how bad a team actually played.

The final score does not reflect how poorly this team played for the first 30 minutes against a 2-10-1 squad. To call that garbage that was supposed to be an NFL offense competitive is embarrassing. It was by far the worst I ever seen a Steelers offense play for 30 minutes. Good thing we weren't playing KC because it could have easily been 35-0 at halftime if it weren't for the lowly Bengals mistakes on offense.

Phillip Rivers was drafted in 2004 with Roethlisberger and Manning, not 2003.

Get your damn facts straight. Carson Palmer, Kyle Boller and Rex Grossman were class of 2003.

I could seriously see teams scoreboard watching in week 17, and acting accordingly in-game, trying to finagle a first round game with the Steelers, who are right now the weakest AFC opponent.

Quite a contrast. Your coach gets away from things that work, our stays with things that do not. Which would you rather have?

Ben was a better QB than Rivers up until his knee injury vs. Dallas. Just a few weeks ago he went back on on the injury report for “knee.” He’s not stepping into his throws properly anymore, and it’s clearly visible on film. Whether it’s cumulative effect, and he can no longer make it through an NFL season, or something more acute, is anybody’s guess. Whether the elbow is a contributing factor is also anybody’s guess. What’s clear is that the Ben of the past few weeks is not the Ben that we saw earlier in the season. That doesn’t make Rivers a better QB. It just makes him a QB who is playing better right now.

Big ben has thrown more tds. Rivers has more yards and higher completion percentage. Both have had some bad games but atleast Big Ben can throw more than 2 tds a game at times

Rivers gets a bad rep as a choker, but he did lead a few game winning drives this year and came back from a larger deficit versus the bengals. With Rivers you get an efficient qb or the turnover prone one. Here lately it has been the good Rivers

As much as I hate the guy, it looks like Rivers MIGHT have washed the Charger stench off.
