I'm just glad JuJu is being himself and having fun (sarcasm).

Would it be the same person who didn't sit AB down and tell him to stop celebrating like an idiot which is causing us penalties on the kick off?

For those of us who don't get Pittsburgh coverage, this is newsworthy. Maybe because I've had to watch a lot of games by streaming or because I don't watch non stop NFL coverage but, until last week, I didn't know this was a thing. As far as disrespect, I don't see any difference between JuJu's "look at me!" dance and stomping on the TT.
    15 yards for taunting!

For every coach or player who says it's BS there's one who says it works.
Bill Cowher used 'bulletin board material' as one of his top motivators before every game where it was available. It's well documented.
It didn't look like BS last night when JuJu was getting launched out of his cleats.
I don't think it led directly to the Steelers losing the game, but it certainly didn't help.

    I don’t think it’s remotely the same.

Might work to keep them focused during the week and charge them up but once the game starts, no, has **** to do with it.

Okay. Doesn't matter what we think but, looked last night like at least one Bengals player took offense!

No, Ben's play had a lot to do with why they won the game, JuJu's dance had a lot to do with a hit that could have put him next to Watt in the locker room.

I guess it just comes down to everyone being different then. When I played, that would piss me off and give me extra fire for the game. I'd really try to target that guy, especially in hockey which was what I played.

We got to see it unfold live when AB simulcast the locker room on Facebook and it was obvious there was no control or order going on. I don't think the Pats even needed the boost of being called @ssholes, but the media ran with it and it became yet another distraction before the Steelers biggest game of the season. AB was disciplined for it though. A 10,000$ fine. (I think his game check was around 700,000$ at the time)

You don't know if that's true or not. It's based on the individual player.
Like I said, maybe it didn't hurt but it certainly didn't help.(unless JuJu's goal was to be posterized as a hit and run victim, because I've been getting texted gifs and memes of it all night and all day).

So you guys are saying players don’t give there all unless they have extra motivation? Professional football players playing at the highest level? You’re saying a defensive player who lives to hit wouldn’t have lit up JuJu there if he hadn’t danced on the logo? Especially in todays league when you so rarely get a shot at a player like that and have it be clean, he wouldn’t have taken that shot? Come on, guys.

Shaner, I can see hockey being easier to take that approach.

I’ve played flag football, deck hockey, basketball and studied 2 disciplines for 6 years and competed. I’m very competitive, I have no problem with JuJu. To each there own.

I’ll add though, Dallas, Giants, Titans, Ravens and Jags all lost to the Steelers, didn’t hear a peep about the JuJu dance, didn’t even know he was doing it until the Bills game.

It's not even an issue of finding the era of player who would stop this BS. It's an issue of having a head coach who fosters this type of behavior.

I guess it's a question of old-school vs new kindergarten:hehehe: but here is my take on it.

Every minute you spend practicing your pre-game dance moves, and your post-catch celebrations, and your TD-catch dance, and understanding where the big screen TV is, and where the cameras are, and coercing your team-mates to join you, and choreographing, is time which could have been spent on football.

And we have a head coach who can't quite see the problem.

When you step over the white lines in the field of play your business should be football, and only football. Period!

JuJu's antics caused him to get lit up, which caused the fumble. It is hurting the team. He is hurting the team.

    I’m probably older than you!

It’s pregame, they practiced all week, when the whistle blows, JuJu looks all business to me. He sure wasn’t smiling last week after he dropped a pass.

You can't be older than me:cool:

It's way more than "pre-game" the stuff these guys do to be on camera, and what they will do when they are on camera, takes a lot of effort......which could be spent on the good of the team.

We all know how many hours coaches put in every week, how would you feel about a coach who spent many hours (because it's not just pre-game) practicing his speeches, and practicing his sideline demeanor, and practicing his Twitter posts, and worrying about his appearance, etc. instead of focusing on football?

Blast - Sure they try their hardest, but there's different levels of hardest. It's not that black and white. In fact, an NFL player recently came out and said publicly that it's not possible to go 100% for every snap. He's bang on.

There's been many hockey games I played in where I gave my all. Then there were games, such as playoffs or vs a heated rival, where I really gave my all and then some. There's just that next level that you can't always get to. That extra gear that's impossible to use every single play.

I don't know if juju would have got lit up if he wasn't dancing on their logo. He might have anyway, or perhaps they were shadowing him just a little bit closer and really looking for that opportunity to blow up up.

As I said, when I played hockey, that wouldn't have been tolerated. That would have resulted in several fights and that player would have been targeted all game. In fact, the whole team would be. We'd look to hit them harder and more often than usual. If we got a chance to take a shot at their goalie, we would take it instead of doing everything we could to avoid it. On top of that, I wouldn't have tolerated one of my teammates doing something like that. We did our talking on the ice. If you want to chirp, you do it after you bury the other team. Anything else is just motivation for them

Nothing positive comes from what juju is doing. Nothing. We've literally been down this road before with AB. So many people on here had no issues with everything AB did, but stuff like that escalates. There's been far too much noise with this team off the field. Between Bell, AB, juju, Ben, etc. This team is a ****ing trainwreck. Cowher would never have tolerated all this garbage.
